(PC) Depipping when other players disconnect

I was waiting for the match to start when all of a sudden a message appeared on screen that said "A player disconnected from the match while loading". Normally, this wouldn't have bothered me, but then I noticed that I received a penalty of one pip from my rank! After exiting the lobby, I realized that the depip had gone through.
Along with the "Unbroken" emblem being bugged, I've dropped all the way from rank 3 to rank 5. Really makes me wonder how BHVR is going to make it up to us, considering that Rank Reset is in 4 days.
