The new HUD + the new survivor movement are absolutely GARBAGE!
Like a billion topics that have been opened on this theme, I am going to open one for myself as well.
The new HUD is GARBAGE! I've played one match as a killer and almost lost because of it(from the very first match). Twice in the game I simply didn't realise a survivor was unhooked because the HUD is so SMALL and the writing is like it's in a thick fog that you barely see(idk what synonim is for that) that I didn't figure out he got unhooked and I didn't hear(or maybe I was too focused) the sound of the survivor being unhooked.
As a Survivor last night in 2 out of 6 matches I've had to literally search and check how many gens were remaining because the Gen HUD is so small and, like the survivors HUD, the writing is like it's in a thick fog that you barely see, you have to like focus on it on top of the screen to see how many gens are left in the game in case you're too focused on tasks and did not remember how many gens were completed.
A big dissapointment! For what you implement the stuff on PTB I have NO IDEA, because you release them in the same state and don't give a damn about player's opinions! Not a CENT!
Very dissapointed! 1377 hours in the game but it's starting to exhaust me as new updates come by...Unacceptable behaviour by the Devs!

Agreed 100%. Not tired to say that in every thread.

are you blind? i can see just find and yeah i don’t like it either but how the hell do you lose a game cause of it? are you standing 100 feet from your screen???

Worst decision ever.. both the HUD and animations

If you're too focused into the game(maybe in a chase) and you're not camping a survivor you should rely on your HUD to see if he was unhooked. I didn't hear the unhook sound(probably I was in a chase) and I didn't even notice from the HUD that the Survivor has been unhooked. I literally returned to the hook to try and see if someone came to rescue him, but he was already unhooked for a good amount of seconds...

Searching for gens because of the HUD? Yeah okay dude hahahaha

You're also not used to the new HUD, though. If I rearranged your furniture you might be annoyed for a while that nothing's where you expect but once you get used to it you might like it better.

again it’s adjustable you can make it larger also it’s the top right corner that will not lose you a chase having to look to the right

I forgot how many gens remained to be completed, had to look up for the HUD and it's so small and greyed out that it's a pain to look at.
Next time, if you don't wanna make a constructive reply, better mind your business.
Thanks!

You have to look to the top left to see who is injured, bottom right to see if your perk is active the top to see how may Gens are left. Do you play the game?

Every time they say they are too busy to fix or change things people actually ask for, point to these needless changes.
2 -
No, i would kick you out of my house and rearrange my furniture back to normal after you left.

The gen remaining part actually blends in with the game so it's hard to see even when you're actively looking at it.
Honestly, idc about the new survivor animations. They're cursed and the stiff, upright stance doesn't make much sense, but whatever. The UI simply breaks the game along with the fact they broke the servers in this update, somehow. Also that camera change on being downed is nauseating.

You may be right...Another problem is that the HUD is kinda split now into 2 opposite directions of the screen, you have to look diagonally from one part of the screen to the other to check for info that is absolutely vital...And not forget the gen HUD which is now on top of your screen, so if you count that as well, essential information relied on HUD is now split into 3 different sections of the screen and constantly switching your eyes onto the screen to look for them is not good...

The Hudson all I want is the gen counter to be in a bottom corner , the animations..eh I would like to see the injured one spiced up maybe

Yes, make the already imposing UI larger so that it's even more imposing and hard to see the actual game. Amazing idea.

By all means, ignore my point.

Ikr... Why didn't they make it clearer? Or brighter? Idk...They maybe thought it would be too distracting if it's brighter, but in reality, it's blending so well to the scenery that most of the time you don't even notice it's there...

the new hud looks like a mobile game now. bring back the good old one. animations look like they came from the beta version of dbd

Yeah, I've seen a lot of this feedback and I think it's fair enough. I don't really have a problem with this personally, but I also haven't played enough of 4.5.0 to have a good sense for whether I'll end up preferring the new or old HUD. I think it's because I'm already used to looking all around the screen even with the old HUD - like, the statuses were in the bottom left, but points and status effects were in the middle right and perks were in the bottom right. I'm also rarely looking for multiple pieces of information at once.

that wasn’t directed at you it was for the original poster check the comment before you decide to add your unwanted sarcastic feedback

Missing the point and assuming I didn't read through the whole thing lmao

again it’s adjustable you can also make it smaller and i never said i liked the new hud i was just suggesting a way to fix it while the devs are collecting feedback

But before you had to look in the bottom left, bottom right, and middle right for the same information; that's really not much better. You're still looking all over the screen. It's all well and good to say "just put everything in the same corner", but after a certain point it either gets so busy it's hard to see at a glance or it's big enough that it starts to block more important areas of the screen.
I wouldn't say I'm a fan of the new HUD, but I'm also surprised people are this annoyed. I'm betting a lot of it is just resistance to change combined with circlejerking on the forum.

Make it smaller, and it's harder to see while still relatively imposing unless you go for the smallest option.
Make it bigger and it takes up a ridiculous amount of the screen and because it's dotted around the screen, it makes it hard to see.
The new HUD can't be fixed if they're going to be their usual stubborn selves and keep the same overall design style; it needs a total redesign. It doesn't have to be the old one, but it needs to be less all over the place (like a damn cheap mobile game) in a fast paced game like DBD.

probably not actually since a lot of people dislike it but i hope the animations stay

Except that it makes EVERYTHING larger. And yes, sometimes it does lose you a chase. Sometimes you have to check whether or not the survivors in your view have anyone injured in case there is iron will, sometimes you have to check if the survivor you just injured is the survivor you thought you were chasing as people with the same skins can only be identified by having them injured. In those cases, having to look far away from where the survivor is, especially if you also have to check your power(billy, bubba, nurse, huntress, clown) and/or perks. You normally would have to look at most at 2 locations and between locations you would at least be able to keep track of everything.
If you could make the upper left corner bigger while making the power bigger/smaller depending on killer, well, then less people would complain.

Yeah, I don't really mind the animations overall. Just the neutral stance for a healthy survivor feels off/awkward in the context of the trial. That and the camera change on being downed as survivor being jarring/causing motion sickness pretty easily.
Only the HUD am I truly opposed to.
