Devs, Pls put important UI info on the bottom half of the screen...
This is the worst thing about the new UI for me. The fact that important info is massively spread out is already a problem, but the fact there's important info on the TOP half of the screen is the single worst problem for this new UI. Please, I beg of you, do not put important information on the top half of the screen, most important info being, power tokens and gauges, gen count, survivor states and perks.
Let me explain why this is an issue.
The POV of every killer in the game, except for Victor, and the soon to be fixed Blight, is higher than survivors (even if just by a little). Most of the time, a killer will be looking at the center and bottom half of their screen, because that is where both survivors, and their current path (in case there's any low obstacles) are located. There is absolutely nothing within the actual gameplay that a killer needs to look at the top of the screen for, because survivors do not fly.
The ONLY exceptions are maps with elevations, but these are definitely not the norm. Most of the minute to minute gameplay happens at the bottom half of the screen.
This means that if the important info is on the bottom of the screen, you can tell without even averting your eyes from the actual gameplay if something changes in the UI.
Say you have one survivor on the floor and are on a chase with another. The survivor on the floor gets picket up, you can immediately tell without even taking your eye of the survivor you're currently chasing. This helps you make important gameplay decisions more effectively.
This info being on the top of the screen makes it so that you register that info much later than you would have otherwise and you'd have to look away from the gameplay to actually get that information. It makes it more cumbersome for the killer player to make appropriate, effective decisions, as fast as they need to. It's just bad for the user experience.
I sincerely hope you do take this into consideration, and I know i'm not the only one who has said something like this.
