Played 4.5.0 for two days now. My feedback.
I played the mid chapter update for two days. Approximately 10 survivor matches and 5 killer matches. My feedback is as follows.
-The new UI is horrible for killer and survivor. Having to look at four or five different areas of my monitor to find the info that I could find in one area previously is not only irritating, but unnecessary.
-Survivor movement is different, and not as "fun" as before, but maybe more realistic as far as 360s and general movement goes. Not my favorite, but I could get used to it.
-Hitboxes/latency are/is completely broken. I have screen captures from my PS4 (which I am unsure of how to share in the forums from my phone) where I am 3-4 steps away from a window that I vaulted, yet I still get hit. I also just played a match where I threw a pallet BEFORE the killer started the swing animation, but I ended up downed, with the pallet down, with the killer on my side of the pallet. Horribly unreasonable.
-Killer movement seems fine, but I have also found myself on the positive end of questionable hits.
-The Game/Gideon map has far too many safe pallets, and the breakable walls are unnecessary. I like the new layout, openness, and slight reconstruction of the map, but the fact that there are at least 10 pallets that are impossible for a killer to get a hit at is ridiculous. Also the fact that survivors can get trapped in multiple rooms for no reason because a killer didn't break a wall he has no reason to break is stupid.
-Dead Hard is even more broken than it was before. I usually run DH as my exhaustion perk, and I accept the fact that latency can sometimes leave me exhausted on the ground. But when I use DH, drop a pallet, and still end up getting downed without even having an exhaustion effect show up, that's almost criminal.
All in all, I'm taking a break from this game after 3k hours. It's basically unplayable in its current state. I have no interest in getting hits I don't deserve, getting hit when I shouldn't, and having too many breakable walls to count in a game that relies on chases. I will wait AT LEAST until a hotfix comes out, but more likely until the next chapter release when all the stupid things that were implemented are reverted, to play again. If all the bugs and horrible changes still haven't changed after the next chapter, I don't see why I would continue to play. I'm a console player, but the devs should have listened to the MASSIVE amounts of feedback they received from the PTB, because it doesn't take a genius to realize exactly how much they ruined the game with this patch.
