An idea to fix a fundamental problem with Wraith (and buff him again.)
The biggest flaw of the wraith is that his power is useless in chases. You can sometimes get a free hit after unlocking if survivors react too late or run towards you (since maybe your behind a wall) but generally the power sucks since you need to chase normally after that and wouldn't always get that hit. GF can use his stealth mid loop to remove his red stain and terror radius to make mind games easier. Wraith cannot stealth mid chase because the slowed speed before chase counters any benefit the extra 11% would give while clocked with the uncloaking time equally about how much distance a survivor could get if just running strait away. Another benefit of GF's stealth over Wraith is that stealthing mid chase doesn't let the survivor know if you are disengaging or not. Since wraith's stealth is unusable for chases, there is no reason for a survivor to think you are still chasing if they hear the bell sound then no terror radius. Thus I have a simple solution for making him much better: Let his power be usable for chases.
As his slowed speed while trying to clock is a big deterrent for wraith using his power mid-chase, I propose making the slowed move-speed almost non-existent (can't actually be non-existent since then Wraiths would just spam trying to clock mid chase while never doing it.) This would give Wraith less penalty for trying to use power mid chase and would let him more easily fake-out trying to stealth, but not actually doing it (can't exactly remember why faking-out clocking is useful, but I do know it can be). This would also have the added benefit of making wraith a bit more efficient since he could roam more easily and a bit quicker without worrying as much whether it is better to cloak then uncloak or just go where you want to without cloaking. (would also make most of his add-ons better since he would be able to clock more often to use them more.)
Their are a few options for what to do with the add-ons that make going into cloaking faster.
- Completely rework them into something else. (there is only a green and yellow one so it wouldn't be too much work though I don't know what it should be.)
- Add something else to them. (Shorting the time it takes to get into cloak would be useful even with little speed decrease since it would allow you to benefit from the speed-up sooner. This would be a very small benefit though so having a secondary effect on these would be nice.)
