Compromise vertical version if there is no turning back to old horizontal UI. But only horizontal UI has a place to be as the most convenient and informative.

Nope....horizontal is better I think. There is no reason to use vertical.

If some platform like switch need vertical UI, It should be used to that specific platform not all.

An improvement I like this the best out of the new portraits but Id still like the adept portraits, but horizontal is still the gold standard

the only reason it's not horizontal is because long names get cut off which i think is fine you don't need to see the whole name to identify that survivor just use the end game screen.

also like....who cares if you can't see the whole name? i don't think i have seen a single complaint about that. there really is no good reason to not keep it horizontal.

I agree with this, I don't think anyone cares about seeing the whole name. But if it really is that big of an issue to the devs...

If they put the bleed-out bar above the name instead of below it, then the name can be split up into multiple lines if it gets too long. The bleed-out bar (/hook state bar/deep wound timer) is always the same size, it's easy enough to leave a space for it between the survivor portrait and the survivor's name.

Having the survivor stats vertical is awful; horizontal is best both for compactness and for how quick and easy it is to read.

It's so much more aesthetically appealing and a lot more readable. I only would reduce the hight on the progress bar.

Still, i don't know why this hook counter even exists...

if they absolutely /have/ to keep it vertical then this is the version i like the most. very nice.

Agreed. I don't understand why they didnt keep it horizontal.

Here is the issue with vertical: It only works in a game where really you don't have to pay much attention to that part of the hud. The games that have vertical are usually only ones where you need to pay attention to health/power bars. It don't work as well in a game where you need to pay attention to all the ######### that goes on in this game. The stuff that is usually important in the hud is at the bottom.

Your version still looks better than both of theirs though.

Better than devs' version. (but worse than horizontal with adept icons)

    Still, very cool version.

most likely because people have complained that it's not so important and most likely devs won't remove it completely.

I like it's position, but I don't need it at all.
