Does the sway respect female customers?

The latest update adds a new element that the female character's chest shakes,

I think it is a problematic choice that shows that the development team has downplayed the problem of women's sexual consumption in the real world.

I love horror games, not pornographic ones.

I expect the development team to make responsible choices.

  • It's been a thing in videogames for decades. Now the physics in games are always unrealistic but watch a video of a woman running and see which part of her jiggles the most.

Whether this is realistic or inappropriate depends on a number of factors. Chest size and clothing. Watch an olympic runner for example and it's unrealsitc because the tight clothing stops that by design, however your typical American horror movie with a busty blonde running from the killer....yeah it happens and yeah it's natural movement. I think it's actually quite appropriate for the character of someone like Kate with how she looks and her clothing in the game, however with the character of Meg being more atheletic and wearing sports tops I think there would naturally be less jiggle. I don't think the game takes any of this into account.

Basically what I'm saying is it actually does make sense at a time when the graphics and animations are all being upgraded as otherwise two static lumps on female characters make look out of place. It's not about pure sexualisation. Clowns stomach for example jiggles. I think they would have more realistic hair too if they could but that's quite intensive to compute for a game that aims at a more casual low end audience.

The lesbians I play with have zero problem with a bit of boob bounce tbh

Funny, i play female characters in this game, and i never notice. Maybe because my attention is on something else than the pixeled bodypars of virtual people.

I mean I just kinda makes sense for it to be there doesn’t it? I mean jeff’s hair moves around is that a problem towards long haired men?

If you spend some time on twitter or reddit you would be surprised.

Oh I didn't even notice. If this happens with every female character, I'd like if it didn't happen with at least one, because not everyone's boobs are big enough to jiggle all over the place and I kinda don't want to feel like the odd one out.

Why does this matter in a game where you spend 90% of the camera perspective looking at the back of their head?

Women’s bodies have physics and aren’t in static non-moving hypersleep. Get real already. If you can’t handle the reality of boobs moving when women run, then don’t come out of your house and shut your tv off.

Imagine this, going outside for a bit just to go buy groceries, you see someone outside of your house who happens to be female who is out and about jogging, if you see their chest wiggling around would you get scared and go back inside the house? No, that's just some narrow minded bias, it's just a normal thing to see. If people focus on boob physics so much while being turned on by it, that's where the perversion is, not the fact that boob physics are present in the game.

"adds a new element that the female character's chest shakes"

This isn't a new element. It's been in the game since Kate/Clown, it got broken for a time with graphics updates, and now the devs have fixed it. It's not new.

And there's absolutely nothing problematic about body physics in games. Fat on a belly jiggles, bags of fat on someone's chest jiggle, fat jiggles. If you don't like it, have words with mother nature.

You make it sound like the characters on this game have F cups. Everyone just looks like a normal person. If you were gonna make this argument it should've been about the /cosmetics/ which many people will agree are out of place.
