PC - can't pick up survivor on excavator tile

Not sure if this is a bug, but if it's intentional, it's just really crappy design.
I think the map was the MacMillan Estate or Coldwind Farm. Might have been Backwater Swamp.
There's this tile that looks like a broken down steam shovel. There's a vault space on it, and if you vault it, you land on a hay bale.
If you're in the dying state and lying on the hay bale, the killer has to go all the way around to pick them up.
