I don't know if it was accidental or not to have these removed but if it was I don't see the point of removing them, they didn't give players an advantage or disadvantage to have them. Another thing is people put time and effort to have make them I and probably many other people would love to see them return.

    From my understanding, they were not deliberately removed, it was just a consequence of how they coded the new UI.

    With that said, I think custom icons were neat and I would like to see them become a possibility once again in the new HUD.
