Surge buff?
I think that Surge might be one of the less used perks when it comes to gen regression, and there are a couple of reasons:
- It activates only on Basic Attacks, making it less apealing for killer like Demo or Billy
- It has a cooldown of 40 seconds, which doesn't help if you're having fast chases
- It has a fixed radius, so it is not possible to make it synergize with perks like Distressing or Monitor&Abuse
I think Surge is a good perk in its design, it helps the killer saving a bit of time that they would spend kicking the gens, so what is the right buff to make it a bit more appealing?
IMO, make it so that gens hit by Surge regress at a higher rate than normal regression, I'm not talking about Ruin levels of regression because that sounds excessive, but something like 115% or 125% sounds right to me

I think 150% regression rate would be better. It's lower than Ruin, but still pretty good.

150% would be A LOT better, consider that whenever a gen is hit by Surge it loses 8% of progress immediately
I was trying to suggest only a small buff because I think Surge is a good perk, but is outshined by other meta perks

Actually, Ruin 2 has exactly the same rate.

I'm aware. I still find that number more reasonable.

I think it could just do without it's cooldown, that or making based off of when you down a survivor instead of the basic attach requirement.
Like with a basic attack your not often going to go on crazy slugging sprees maybe at most 2 if the survivors are being optimal and that would only result in a 16% regression to nearby gens which seems fair to me.

I use this perk almost every game. What?

Maybe because you are low rank

I don't think it's a bad perk at all
It's simply less used than the other gen regression perks
