Pallet stun from a mile away

So I was playing blight and getting whooped as normal as I only just got him, and I was looping with a survivor on some lane walls. I walk into one of the lanes and see them camping the pallet, so I stand still very far from the pallet for a second. She drops the pallet, and then I'm frozen and can't move. Suddenly I'm teleported to the pallet and put into the stun animation.
Steps to reproduce:
Have survivor drop a pallet within a unspecified range of killer and see if it happens. Have not been able to reproduce as of this time.
