Is it possible to link progress from the Xbox App PC client to the Steam client?

The Xbox PC client is just awful in my opinion, I constantly ran into problems, a good example is that a few weeks ago the client didn't work for an entire week, rendering all my games that I had on that app unusable, and while stressing myself out and following an official microsoft thread about the problem and trying their fix, that broke it even more, so I had to reset my windows, the only reason I even used that app in the first place was because of the gamepass.

So After all my problems with the Xbox PC client I said that enough is enough, I should stop wasting my time and my patience playing tech guy and constantly find fixes for the app and just spend a few bucks and buy the game on a more reliable client like Steam, better than trying to fix the app on a weekly basis.

Now the main question is if I can link my progress from the Xbox app to the Steam app, I mean they're both pc clients so I don't think how that couldn't work, but I'm asking here just to be sure I won't waste my money, if I will be able to link my progress to steam I will make sure to buy the game immediately and finally be done with that nightmare of an app.

    Sorry but cross progression is only available between Steam, Stadia and shortly Switch. We do not know if it will be available for other platforms in the future. That is as much information as we have at the present time I'm afraid.
