Prologue

Amanda Young, The Pig, is a pretty fun killer to play as and against — she's very unique. However, there are some things that makes her less likely to be picked up and I want to address those issues to make her fun for everyone.

Reverse Bear Traps (abbreviated as RBTs)

They are unpredictable and can be frustrating on both ends.

Required SolutioNs

  • First Solution: Separate the RBT into two separate timers: Passive and Active.

When a survivor is trapped, they will have a Passive Timer that lasts for one minute. This timer will pause when the survivor is being chased, dying, or hooked — otherwise, the timer will tick down and eventually expire. Once the Passive Timer expires, the RBT will wait to proceed to the Active Timer until it's activated by a generator or automatically proceed to the Active Timer if a generator was completed during the Passive Timer. The Active Timer is two minutes in duration and has the same pause rules as the Passive Timer, but once this timer expires, survivors will be killed on the spot.

Q: Why give survivors more time to remove the RBT?

A: This is to prevent the RBT from killing survivors who were given unfair scenarios and to make room for RBT lethality add-ons. You have to trust me with this and wait until you see the add-on pass.

I want to point out that if survivors don't use their passive timer on boxes, they will have only two minutes to search boxes (30 Sec less than current RBT).

  • Second Solution: Survivors are guaranteed to remove the RBT between the first and last boxes. Doesn't not apply when there are less than 3 boxes in the trial.

Q: What's the point of changing how boxes are removed?

A: It's straightforward — you're guaranteed to get at least some value from the RBT, but on the other hand, survivors are guaranteed to not get all boxes. It evens everything out on both ends and quite frankly, should be like this to begin with.

Add-on Pass

In this pass, I will address some of the more weaker add-ons and fix common problems associated with them.

Utility Blazes:

  • Survivors who remove the RBT will suffer from the Hemorrhage status effect for 90 seconds.

Face Mask:

  • Survivors who remove the RBT will suffer from the Oblivious status effect for 45 seconds.

Slow-Release Toxin:

  • Survivors who remove the RBT will suffer from the Exhaustion status effect for 45 seconds.

Rusty Attachments:

  • Survivors who remove the RBT will suffer from the Mangled status effect for 45 seconds.

Q: Why do the add-ons affect survivors after they remove the RBT?

A: What happened before is that the killer had to focus survivors with RBT to gain value from the RBT add-ons, which was counterintuitive by the RBT design. You're not supposed to focus survivors with RBTs because they are basically dead weight until they get it off — you should be focusing the survivors who are pulling their weight so that there are less survivors progressing the game. With this solved by my changes, you get the best of both worlds.

Q: Why does face mask apply Oblivious instead of blindness?

A: Pretty simple, blindness isn't solo queue friendly and was useless against SWF. Oblivious is more solo queue friendly and more useful against SWF.

Interlocking Razors:

  • Survivors lose all search progress when landing in the bonus region of a jigsaw skill check.

Bag of Gears:

  • Moderately increases the search time for each unsearched jigsaw box remaining (1 second).

Crate of Gears:

  • Greatly increases the search time for each unsearched jigsaw box remaining (2 seconds).

Amanda's Secret:

  • Survivors lose the ability to see jigsaw auras after searching a jigsaw box.

Rules Set NO.2:

  • Automatically activates the RBT when the trapped survivor starts searching a jigsaw box.

Amanda's Letter:

  • Reveals survivors within 12 meters while crouched.

Jigsaw's Annotated Plan:

  • Moderately increases the Passive Timer (30 Seconds), but adds an additional jigsaw box.

Tampered Timer:

  • Moderately increases the RBT's Passive Timer (15 Seconds) and moderately decreases the RBT's Active Timer (30 Seconds).

Q: Why all of these changes?

A: Remember when I said, 'You have to trust me with this and wait until you see the add-on pass.' Well, that's what this is for, the RBTs can be made super lethal with these add-ons. If the survivor decides to not search boxes and waste their Passive Timer, they risk you having one of these add-ons that will likely get them killed or very close to that point. Of course if the survivors focus on removing the RBT, they'll be fine, but at the end, the RBT did their job by forcing survivors to waste time scavenging the map to remove the RBT. As a survivor, it's risky to ignore the RBT because you could be running an add-on that punishes that behavior.

ambush chanGes

  • Ambushing an occupied survivor will automatically grab them.
  • The audible sound that plays during the charge sequence of the ambush is now played once you commit to the ambush.

Of course, these ideas aren't perfect nor do I claim them to be — which is why I need your help by providing me constructive feedback. If you're unclear about something, please ask and I'll explain it in a different way! 😁

Hopefully, these changes will make our favorite killer more enjoyable on both sides! 😊
