Obsession Mechanic | Decisive Strike

Obsession Mechanic
Okay, I'm not sure if this was intentional or by design, but why isn't there an obsession in every game? I know that if neither the killer or survivor is running an obsession based perk, there will be no obsession selected.
However, with the rework of DS and soon to be more balanced, it would be nice to have an obsession in play so that it adds a risk to tunneling survivors as the killer won't be able to differentiate between games with and without Decisive Strike.
I noticed that it's practically impossible for survivors to differentiate games where the killer is using No One Escapes Death or not. Therefore, it adds a healthy effect to the game because survivors always has to assume the killer is using it (slow down on generators, do bones) or they'll take a risk after the generators are completed.
Why not have the same for both roles? Survivors might have DS, killers might have NOED — it's a risk on both sides and encourages healthy games. I never enjoyed games where there's no obsession in play because the killer would usually tunnel without any interference; I could only imagine the pain killers would be in if survivors could differentiate whether or not killers are using NOED.
I just want what's best for both sides and with DS being changed for the better, this wouldn't be the end of the world and would be a nice survivor QoL change! 😅😁

I'd love for an obsession mechanic to be a thing in every match, especially with Decisive Strike being nerfed so it won't be used as much. It'll hopefully decrease tunneling rates if it would happen, especially that whenever an obsession isn't in a trial the killer will often tunnel.

I wouldn't have anything against it. Sill I don't think it wouldn't make as much difference as some might think.

I'm entirely in favour of this, also helps buff solos marginally. Definitely a fan.

Anything that would make DS feel less mandatory gets a yes from me. No survivor ever sees an obsession and thinks "killer likely has an obsession perk", everyone just assumes it's someone having DS so it's not a nerf or a buff to those killer perks whatsoever either.

I'd rather have DS be like Nemesis and not create an Obsession unless used.
Otherwise, have being the Obsession mean... *something* if they'll exist every match.
