PC players disrespect Console players, but don't realize what people on console have been through.
Not all PC players talk bad about Console people, but there's certain people on PC who act like their platform is the better of the two in terms of "skill". Yes Dead By Daylight came to your platform first, but that doesn't give you any right to talk bad about another platform just cause you embrace an elitist attitude. People who play on console have been through a lot, and yet PC people tend to ignore that. Don't believe me, well I can name quite a list of things.
Horrible optimization - This will always be the biggest issue for console people, the worst fps drop I ever experienced was at least 10 fps with Doctor when the Stranger Things chapter came out. You're literally playing a powerpoint presentation, meanwhile a game like Rocket League runs at an incredible 60 fps on console for PS4. Also the DBD tutorial runs at 60 fps, why can the base game not do that?
Horrible sensitivity - 360's were terrible to hit before the sensitivity increase because you literally couldn't turn your camera fast enough in the direction the survivor was going to hit them. Which lead to a lot of people being insulted for being juked thanks to terrible sensitivity..
Console feedback - This is something I want to point out because it's hard for us console people to give feedback on certain things because we get ignored quite a bit.
Killers being handicapped - Everyone who plays on console knows how awful it feels at times to play Blight, since your turn rate is reduced massively and thus making it harder to do things that PC players can do with Blight. Oni was terrible to play on release for console because you couldn't even turn at all when trying to Demon Dash, thankfully this was addressed and fixed and hopefully something will be done for console Blight's.
Toxicity - PC players can act like they've experienced toxicity worse, but at least you can hide you're little chat box to not see toxic comments. Meanwhile us console people have to go into our privacy settings, and make our messages private and change our friend request settings so we don't have to deal with the endless barrage of toxic comments. Also I generally believe that console toxicity is worse than PC personally.
So yeah if you're gonna insult console people, at least acknowledge the amount of stress we've been through before you insult our platform. At least us console players don't stretch our screens out for advantages, at least we don't use Surround Sound to give us easier Spirit matches, at least we don't put macros on our flashlights to annoy people, at least we don't abuse exploits that aren't allowed in game. I know we don't have the resources to do any of this stuff, but I'm just Saiyan. In terms of skill I think we match up with you PC players pretty good, not at Blight but with other killers and survivor definitely.
Rant over.

I’ve never had an issue with sensitivity before as an Xbox player

Stop running urban with a key then.
7 -
You think you don't have issues until you see how fast PC can turn. Look at Blight and nurse on pc when compared to console.
14 -
Killer specific issues do arise but general lunging is fine. Even curving with billy is never an issue but I rarely play blight or nurse

I don't direspect my console cousins. If anything, playing agaist them in cross-play has led me to believe they are the better survivors as they actually understand what their objective is rather than the PC survivor who seems focused on goofing off or whatever.
20 -
My main problem with being a console player is the fact we have to deal with extremely dark maps because our settings are stuck on max.
When we're trying to hide because we're completely shadowed on our screen a PC player with their brightness ramped up sees us clear as day.
22 -
I mean PC peeps do the same thing
23 -
Oh my gosh. I always only played on PS4 and never knew how 60 fps on DbD feels like, but after you told us that the tutorial runs at 60 fps and i tested it and its really soooo good. Now i want a PS5 even more!
Also you made great points.

When I had cross play turned on I at times got matched up with PC players who went down in matters of seconds since they are failing miserably at bullying killers, and not even trying to help the team with the objective.
8 -
You don't use crossplay?

Thank you for saying good things about us for once! I play on xbox and have had people say stuff about how console players are the worst, and yet I have had absolutely amazing teammates on console who go above and beyond to save others and do gens-- And let's not forget the killers working hard with great strategies! When cross play was introduced I had an easier time winning actually, and now I barely pay attention to posts about 'dear console players' and all that bs. I had to figure out new strategies and moves when it was implemented, but I am feeling good about my play style these days! I hope more console players read this and don't feel so alienated <3!

PS5 will be nice to have once I can find one

Turned it off a couple weeks ago thanks to hackers

i played 1k hours on ps4 before switching to PC 2 years ago and i still ######### on console players. their playstyle is just bad.

Fix the damn FPS drops
It's insane how MANY hits, chases or even games i've lost because i got FPS drops at the worst possible time
It's embarrassing that we still have to deal with this crap
12 -
I had good and bad players on both sides. I do believe console players skill is impacted by the controllers and framerates, meaning that i belive they are at a disadvantage, but those who become good despite that really deserve my respect, because they learned to play around those limitations and cope with them ingame.
8 -
I just want us console players to get some respect, no matter what we always get disrespected by PC elitists and by the devs as well.
9 -
There's people who said Nurse was unplayable on console, but if you know who SupaAlf is he started out on console before switching to PC. Guy mains Nurse, and basically showed how playable she is with a controller.
2 -
PC simps can be bad to, just Saiyan.
8 -
Idk I’ve seen good console players but I’ve never seen a pc red rank survivor equip a styptic and a syringe on the same medkit.

Meanwhile BHVR: Have a free Billy outfit with the basic default pants in the rift!
Also PS5 will be such a dream to have for DBD, I can't wait.

I read your first post and you're right it's harder for console players to 360 as both survivor and killer. if I turn my camera up too high I won't be able to stay on target well enough. That's why when they changed the animations and 360s became more difficult I was happy. the field seemed a bit more level. But of course people complained about not being able to do them anymore and the switched some of the animations back. I play on console with PC players and yeah at least one of them hates console players and swears by 360's and needs them to be any good. I've played on PC too. so no I'm not in any way attacking PC players. I hate that you have to block yourself on console to avoid toxic stuff. I won't do it because it's too much of a hassle. but so many do so you can't even talk to them. I will criticize dirty game play but I never out and out attack anyone.
console should have the same end game chat that PC does now that there are dedicated servers. you can't even have fun interactions on console without having to go through hoops to do it.
If you're going to have cross play as an option the chat should be too.
4 -
the fps is.
sensitivity is an issue with characters like blight, because you can't ######### turn.
I never had drops this bad... damn
5 -
I can see why they didn't want to add the chat box thanks to toxicity, but they're adding a chat filter now. Don't see what's wrong with giving us the chat box now? It would probably stop toxic people from filling up other people's dms.
5 -
hell yeah, I've been bombarded a few times by twitch streamers and just toxic people in general in my DMs and I don't want to have to create parties with them just to talk and I don't want to block all communication just to stop a few toxic idiots.
0 -
doing just fine on console is a lot less than doing average on pc.
you can play the game, obviously. but the inconsistent fps and bad sensitivity are a thing that exists and you can't just pretend they don't affect the game
4 -
oh i totally agree. console is just WAY behind on meta and it's very frustrating.

Most people aren't really caring about how bad a console killer is because we understand their limitations the thing we don't understand is console survivors
they have the same tools a control scheme that doesn't limit them like a killer is limited by controller but they just seem, accident prone going down faster in chase then if they just ran in a straight line, wasting resources at breakneck speeds and abandoning them to go down anyway making the map barren wastelands while giving killers a ton of pressure, I had a game where against a legion I had a longer chase in my one chase then all my teammates had combined 9 chases to 1 chase by me, and mine was longer than theirs combined with 1 window and 2 pallets
while id like to say they are as skilled at the end of the day on average they are a more casual part of the player base, as with everything this has its outliers but its still an audible sigh when I queue up for a survivor match every now and then and see 3 console players as teamates because I don't expect much from them because so many manage to undermine my expectations. Still nice when I get decent ones or face decent ones as killer and survivor but they are so few and far between

9 out of 10 PC players come back and try to rescue me during endgame, unless it's obvious they can't, such as if its Bubba or NOED is in a good spot.
9 out of 10 Console players abandon me on hook or just straight up DC just because the match doesn't go their way.
This is all the reason I need to prefer PC players.
1 -
The FPS drops are horrible though
Bloodlust will screw you a LOT as killer and things like Sloppy Butcher or Freddy as Survivor
3 -
Nurse on console is fine honestly. It's blight that is absolutely awful on console compared to PC
2 -
Ps4 player here. I tend to get chased a lot on this game. I can loop for a long time. Pc players dont see that because they think I'm gonna go down and they get a flashlight save. I don't want to turn off cross play because I'm used to the console killers being eh. (No offense sorry <3) I like playing against more challenging players. Toxic wise I see it way more on the PC side
3 -
My worst teammates are almost always console players 95% of the time. There's a small minority that are quite good, but the number of terrible console players is much higher on average based on my own experience. Take that for what you will, it's not an ultimate declaration that all console players are bad, more that those I tend to get on my team are god awful more often than not. Just an observation.
If queue times wouldn't take 8000 additional years to find a match, I'd have turned off crossplay a long time ago.
2 -
Except for bad FPS and DH freezing the game.
3 -
Just fix Console already BHVR.
You promised 60 FPS in March of 2019. Where is it?

Up the PC master race.

I never had any framedrops or sensitivity problems when I played on the original xbox one. I know that frame rate is limited on console though.
I noticed a significant improvement in frame rate when I got the xbox series x. Haven't experienced any frame drops on that console either though. There is way smoother gameplay on the new consoles so I understand in that aspect how pc players would have an advantage on last gen consoles. The new gen consoles hold up well against pc tho in DBD.
In terms of sensitivity, I suppose I probably have no problems with it because I play on really high sensitivity due to me being used to that playstyle in other games. I never get spun as killer and looping or 360s are pretty easy on that sensitivity.

Sometimes I wonder if people on console don't research things like PC players do, because of their medium. I think when on PC you can feel encouraged to look things up, as it's accessible. Granted, most consoles have a browser, it's slow as hell. Also, I think the chatbox in-game allows for people to realize how bad they are when people tell them after the match. On console, 90% of the time people contact you is because they're crazy/toxic angry.
I'm on PS4 and can attest to a lot of console survivor behavior being weird. They can be inefficient, and often bad. If I turn off cross-play and go console only, I just get a lot of weird vibes; lots of trolling, people being afk, people hiding in corners all game, etc.. There have been good players, though. They're just few and far between.
1 -
Of course you don't get any FPS drops on PS5 😑
We are talking about PS4,Xbox One and Switch
2 -
You could have lost your entire family to a tragic accident, they would still talk toxic crap cause you were around the hooked Survivor for longer than 3 seconds, or because you pressed Crouch twice in a row.

Smartphones and wi-fi don't exist in 2021.
Edit: Reading through some posts here I kinda lost all hope in humanity.
2 -
Jesus, you research things on a smartphone?

Console survivors have been a continual disappointment since cross play was enabled. I used to say this more as a joke than anything else, but it has proven to be true. There are definitely console bros out there but they’re the exception, not the rule.
Console killers impress me though. I’ve witnessed a godlike curvin and swervin billy, top tier huntresses, mind game master ghost faces, etc on console. The only two pc killers that typically eclipse their console counterparts are nurses and blights.
2 -
What is the difference and problem with that? I do everything on my phone and it is practical and accessible everywhere.
Please tell how is googling for info on phone different when doing it on pc? Please do.
0 -
I highly doubt, you've gotten top tier huntresses and billys on console. Most console players are casual or bad.
1 -
A lot of us console players have smartphones and laptops we do research on. It isn't hard to use them and find the same information
4 -
Well, personally, I don't do it because it's not ergonomic, and most of the time the only workflow available on a phone sucks. But, one measurable difference is that the mouse over functionality on the DBD wiki doesn't work, so you're limiting access to information by using a phone.

No no, I get PLENTY of people telling me I'm bad after the game :D

What a weird thing to say. Personal experience is personal experience. Believe me or don’t. I know what I’ve encountered.
