New to the game! Suggestions and advice;
So I am new (ish) to the game, I started mid February, and this past reset was my first full “season”. There are a few thinks that really get under my skin that I would like to know how to combat or suggest tweaks for! No idea if these are possible but some behaviours should be discouraged and some perks seem way too over powered.
Firstly I’ve already experienced a few hackers in the game. Nothing we can do about that, but I don’t know what becomes of someone who is report for legitimate reasons. There’s no notification saying “we’ve reviewed your report and thank you for helping us identify this problem, a penalty has been applied”, or whatever.
Which brings me into camping killers. Are there survivor perks that can combat this directly? I also think that this behaviour can be discouraged by killers not receiving blood points when standing within a certain radius of the hooked survivor. Just a suggestion! This happens a lot. And it is NOT a strategy, it’s defiantly a cheap way to “play” or a cop out. It’s frustrating.
one perk that I really have a problem with is the nurse perk “Thanatophobia”. The killer only needs to hit each survivor once and the penalty is already maxed. Perhaps make it a hex totem so it can be dispatched with or omit the injured/hook part and it just applies 5% per hook maybe?
any advice or feedback for my suggestions/predicaments would be appreciated!

Hackers definitely suck.
In regards to camping, there are some Survivor perks that can combat it. Kindred is a notable one that's not linked to any specific characters or DLC, as it's an informational perk relating to hooks. Aside from Perks, you should practice "hook gymnastics" if you don't do it already. Repeatedly spamming the self-escape so a Survivor is wiggling their hands up and down signals to the other Survivors that the Killer is nearby (because all Survivors can see hooked Survivor's auras) while remaining stationary is a signal that the coast is clear.
Re. Changing camping, I definitely feel like more could be done. A few fairly conservative suggestions I'd throw out would be:
- Making some aspects of Kindred basekit + buffing Kindred to compensate
- Reworking the Killer Perk Insidious to gut its camping potential and hopefully give it more genuine viability
- Giving Survivors BP rewards if they tough out hook timers instead of suiciding/failing self escapes, especially if they died on their first hook
Thanatophobia feels worse than it actually is. It's not really an overpowered Perk. It's true that the Killer keeping everyone injured isn't a massively tall order (especially for Killers like Legion) but even on those Killers, it's still a conditional effect they have to actively keep up + maintain, and it's not too harsh even while it's maxed out.
