Swf notification idea
So i know alot of people talk about how unfair playing against swf teams (myself included) but it is a mechanic of the game and i think proximity audio may be a bit too complex for the developers *note sarcasm*. Also they could use it much to there advantage by having two players distract and disorienting the killer while the other two work on gens. And since people do t want a notification above they're team i suggest. What if we allow swf teams to talk to each other but if they do they have to use in game chat or something and have a microphone over there icon or something just a thought

Honestly just putting a symbol next to their names in a lobby would save so much stress, maybe a couple different ones if it's a set of two swfs in a match (two people per SWF)

That will never work they'll just continue using 3rd party comms. Nobody wants to play against these little dookie drops it's not fun regardless of the outcome.
Match against swf is like babysitting four disobedient toddlers.

If you ignore the clickers and go for the ones doing gens then you'll likely win.
Plus while you go for them the clickers will usually be close behind trying to get saves and then everyone's off gens and you can easily bait the pick up and snowball.
Teams like that are very winnable, it's only when all 4 load in and go to different gens straight away that you need to worry.

in good swf all 4 can run and all 4 can do gens. You can win only against bad swf

Well the OP is discussing having ones who try and distract you and while other team members do gens so I'm discussing that. But let's be honest there are more not so great SWF than good ones, plus there's just the ones that don't even care about gens and just want to mess around with their friends.
SWF can be an issue but it also depends how good you are at killer. Obviously we aren't all (myself included) amazing at killer and at the top %, most of us are average or decent. But with practice you get better and they become less of an issue apart from the dreaded depip squad but they're very rare.
Ive been watching Umbra recently check her out on YouTube and type her name plus SWF and see how she deals with them and how she shows they're deffo beatable. She's got me back on my killer game.

For 1 youtube video of Content creator stomping swf there are 10 lost games nobody saw. I can upload video of me stomping SWFs too, but that doesn't mean swf is okay and should not be adressed

We've all complained about it myself included for years but nothings happened in 4 years and nothings going to happen. So we either keep complaining all the time or we just have to deal with it or play something else at this point.

This game is great besides bugs, and unfairness sometimes. I'll just keep complain until they hear us

We're nearly 5 years deep into this game. But after the recent hud update, animation changes and trickster nerf I think it's finally common knowledge that they're not listening.

well, until there is another good assymetric game to play i have nothing else to do

There's a lot of great games out there if you only focus on this game it drains you. Trust me been there done that. The healthiest thing I do now with dbd is play more of other games as well.

Yeah i know. I dropped this game for 2 years somewhere after Pig release because of how unfun it was to play killer. Problem is if you come back after, there is too much stuff to grind

Nah.
The thing that stops most killers from lobby dodging as it is, is the doubt that the survivors are a SWF. Add in an icon to give a definite indication that they're a SWF, and people won't be able to play SWF, killers will lobby dodge every time.
I only play survivor with my friends, because solo survivor is awful. We're not elite players, we lose more matches than we win.
Instead of penalising SWFs, improve solo survivor play:
- Allows survivors to see each others perks in the lobby, so you know the capabilities of your team mates.
- Provide short preset communication messages in game, which are displayed next to your survivor icon when you hit a button. E.g. "Killer is nearby" "Coast is clear" "Help me" "Leave me"
These would bring solo survivors up closer to the capabilities of a SWF. You've know if someone has Borrowed time, Unbreakable, DS, etc. You'd know when the killer is chasing someone else so you can relax a little. You'll know when the killer has left another survivor they were in a chase with, so you could anticipate them coming.
Once solo survivors are closer to SWFs, you can then more clearly define areas that need to be balanced, and likely buff killers a little without penalising solo survivors.

So how would that even work on PC? Would the icon show up if there's active voice transmission, or if someone has a microphone plugged into their computer at all?
Because the former is very easy to circumvent, and the latter would probably make even the majority of solo players have the icon, as even if they've never played SWF a lot of people have headsets with a microphone. Ultimately defeating the purpose of the system entirely as in one way or another the indicator wouldn't actually be trustworthy in any way.
And that's without getting into how I'm pretty sure that wouldn't even be allowed on Xbox. Pretty sure they explicitly forbid any and all interference with their party chat system such as forcing people into in-game chat instead.

Killers who aren't scared of a challenge wont dodge, ik I wouldn't

One of us took a key, once. 6 killers dodged. Never took a key again.

That's true I still don't even think I'm half way through the grind with all the characters.
