Yet Another Legion Rework Idea
It might just be me, but it feels like everyone and their grandma wants to rework Legion, and is submitting their own rework concepts.
Except BHVR, and they might never do it. There's several other Killers they want to touch up first, and Old Legion was so terrible for the game's health (and Legion in general is so strangely popular among a section of the fanbase) BHVR might be genuinely scared to unearth this hatchet and take another shot at the Killer. Current Legion, while not ideal from a fun perspective, does have Killers dedicated to playing them, and is kinda sort of somewhat balanced, so BHVR aren't interested in hearing out Legion reworks right now, if they ever were.
But, hey, what kind of idiot would make a post in S&F with the hope of their changes actually getting implemented? So, let's go ham with a hypothetical Legion rework that's never going to happen and is really, really complicated.
The Idea
Feral Frenzy is renamed "Frenzy" for the purposes of the Killer Power, and The Legion now has a Secondary Power: Tag In/Out.
This lets The Legion switch between Frank, Julie, Joey, and Susie at Hooks while mid-Frenzy. You walk up, get a secondary power button prompt, then press it to have your Legion member slap the Hook, have The Entity take them out of the Trial (like they step down into the floor or something), and get replaced with another member emerging near the same hook in a similar way, taking a couple of seconds.
This changes your Frenzy to a different form, and lasts until you "Tag In" at a Hook to return it back to Feral Frenzy, or Tag Out again to get yet another version of Frenzy. You can't Tag Out to become the same Legion member you already are, and Tagging Out also refills all of Frenzy's duration while continuing the Frenzy and keeping it going.
"Tagging in" refers to when you use the power again at a Hook, either when you aren't in Frenzy or in a Frenzy that hasn't hit anyone, to return to normal. But, Tagging In will cause all Survivors suffering from Deep Wounds to be Mended and return to an Injured state.
You can still start as your preferred Legion member and individually give them all cosmetics for your loadout.
Now, for the alternate versions of Frenzy. Your Frenzy, and Legion member, will change depending on how many consecutive Frenzy hits you had before Tagging Out. These go as follows:
Default/x0: Feral Frenzy. Works like what we're used to. Feral Vault, however, is exclusive to this version of the Power, and that's VERY important to remember. The other Legion members have to use normal vault animations or eat Pallets while in their alternate Frenzy modes, they CANNOT vault pallets or quick-vault windows.
x1: Subtle Frenzy. Gains the Undetectable status while in Frenzy/Frenzy Fatigue, and for 5 seconds after leaving Frenzy. Gets Killer Instinct on a flat 32m range instead of it being based on the Terror Radius after hits. Can see Scratch Marks and Blood Pools. Makes no noise when Fatigued.
x2: Destructive Frenzy. Using Feral Slash on any object subject to a Break Action (dropped pallets, incomplete gens, or breakable walls) immediately Breaks it and ends Frenzy with no Fatigue, just a second or so of "missed attack" slowdown.
x3 or higher: Fatal Frenzy. Hitting a Survivor with the Deep Wounds status will down them. However, hitting a Survivor without Deep Wounds will end the Frenzy. (and remember, Survivors WITHOUT Deep Wounds are the ones revealed by Killer Instinct, so if you want chainstabs, you'll have to try and guess where the Survivors you previously stabbed are now) On top of this, Fatal Frenzy also has a -77% cooldown modifier, so it takes a full minute by default to recharge while active. Change it back, and your Frenzy can recharge at its normal rate again.
By default, Subtle Frenzy is Julie, Destructive is Susie, and Fatal is Joey. However, if you aren't playing as Frank, Frank will instead use your Legion member's tag version of Frenzy. Eg. If you're playing Susie, Frank will be the Tag Out member for Destructive Frenzy. This isn't that big a deal, but it might cause a little extra bit of confusion factor for the Survivor team. (or, alternatively, players could just mix and match this from the lobby screen? I dunno, whatever floats your boat, mechanically speaking it doesn't matter much)
Analysis
So, to try and outline this new Legion's gameplan: Chaining Feral Frenzy stabs isn't just for getting Injuries, it's a means to an end. Destructive and Subtle Frenzy can be used to mess with Survivors and get downs, but if you get a really good chainstab going, Fatal Frenzy comes in to threaten a snowball.
Thankfully however, Fatal Frenzy can be beaten out via regular looping tactics, or by simply remaining hidden, as the Fatal Frenzy user can't rely on Killer Instinct to locate Survivors for chainstabs. But, it's not as simple as Survivors hugging their pallets for dear life while Mending, because if they try that, Legions might use Destructive/Subtle Frenzy to punish them for that. Fatal Frenzy will have to eat that pallet like a chump, but Destructive Frenzy will rip through it and get an easy punish if it's dropped, and Subtle Frenzy can take you by surprise if it isn't.
HOWEVER, by Tagging Out, the Legion player is taking a risk, the extra versions of Frenzy aren't as universally usable as the regular one. They'll have to Tag In if they want Feral Vaulting back, and that means sacrificing every bit of Deep Wound pressure they currently have. Survivors who play well against the alternate forms of Frenzy to deny Legion pressure can force them to eat their failures and Mend them FOR the Survivor team, but Legions who play well will be able to get downs using their Power, a complete gamechanger.
And, on top of that, if a Legion main doesn't like these changes... They can just refuse to Tag Out, and not much is actually gonna change for them. These alternate versions of Frenzy are designed to have niches over the regular version with the major downside of sacrificing the Feral Vault ability and potentially sacrificing the Deep Wound statuses you've inflicted.
Okay, so... Does this sound okay? Or is this another Legion rework to throw in the dumpster and set on fire?
There's probably some major exploit I've overlooked, but the biggest problem I'd probably submit is the fact that this doesn't really solve Fatal Frenzy's fundamental "survivors just have to accept they're going to take damage" issue- You'd need an ENTIRELY new power to solve that. It just tries to give Legion a higher skillcap beyond regular M1 shenanigans and bandaid some issues like Mending spam. It's also pretty complicated and is a straight buff to Legion's capabilities as opposed to something more power-neutral, which could definitely also pose an issue.

The Legion are way too far in one direction for anything like this to happen but it'd be cool.

Well at least is more original and unic than the devs Legion. Good job. :)
