Overcharge Skill Check Bug

I play on PC Steam.

When I play survivor, and a killer using Overcharge damages a generator with a kick, I am able to quickly stop the generator regression by tapping M1. When I let go, the Overcharge skill check does not fail and make the generator explode. Instead, I can succeed at the skill check away from the generator.

Not a bug · Last Updated

This is by design, once the survivor interrupts a generator that's been kicked with Overcharge, the skill check is automatic and will *follow* the survivor if they leave go of the generator.

    Not a bug. Intended behavior.

EDIT: Maybe it is a bug. It's been like that for as long as I remember. I thought it was brought up in a patch note at one point (As in, it was changed to be like this.) but I'm not certain.

It does make the perk a little weaker though. Since if letting go mid-overcharge-skill-check blew up the generator, it would be a good way to punish gen-tappers.

I just thought that since it's a skill check, it should fail if you let go of the generator. No other skill check has that effect, so it seems like a bug that needed to be reported.
