I think this discussion needs a reality check. Let me put a few things in context:

    1. Camping and Tunneling are both considered valid, legitimate tactics in the game.
    2. Camping and Tunneling have always been with us and will always be with us.
    3. However, how often these tactics get used is dependent on the current Meta.
    4. While Undying + Ruin was in service they decreased in use within the mid to potent Ranks.
    5. Their use stayed about the SAME in the newbie, i.e. Potato, Ranks.
    6. Mid to Potent Tier Killers Tunneled and Camped less with Undying + Ruin because they could.
    7. The loss of that combination means a certain percentage of them adapted.
    8. They adapted by going back to Tunneling & Camping to reduce a 4v1 to a 3v1 as rapidly as possible.
    9. This is largely their only alternative to deal with the speed of Generators at a certain Survivor Skill Level.
    10. This also will not change again until the Meta shifts again.

People are talking around each other and avoiding the key issues. Killers and Survivors both only do what they must. This game is constantly adapting and shifting, i.e. evolving. When there was a way to slow Generators down, Killers went out and hunted more and focused on pressure. When there aren't any (or many) effective ways to slow Generators down, they focus on eliminating Survivors because each one dead cuts off 25% of potential Generator progression. That is the long and the short of it. You cannot maximize both variables. Thus, if you want Killers to make less use of Tunneling and Camping, you have to provide slower Generator progression opportunities.

Blaming Killers for Tunneling and Camping is as silly as blaming Survivors for body blocking or working Generators as fast as they can. The Killer's job (objective) is to prevent you from escaping, i.e. kill you. The Survivor's job (objective) is to escape, i.e. get those Generators running to open the exit. Whatever they do within the rules to accomplish that is not our place to judge. Directing angst at either side is just poor sportsmanship, period.

Leather face is countered hard by windows and tunnelling is an issue they can’t really solve

    False, Bamboozle

And Dev's have the ability to fix tunneling as well as face camping, it's called penalizing killers who do this. Decreased or points per match as they increase their tunneling, guaranteed loss of a pip when they continuously proxy camp (Stealth killers do this all the time). Will they do this? No. For whatever reason, BHVR is happy w/the state of the game as is, if they honestly felt tunneling and camping hooks were an issue, trust me they would address it. In my year of playing this, it only got worse. My advice? Stop playing it, lol, worked for me.

Still easy to solve. If the Killer is within 32 meters (or whatever) of the hook and another survivor isn't, then the hook time pauses. If a survivor is close, the hook timer continues. (End Game collapse, this is disabled)
