Get Rid of Tunneling! DO IT. Not end discussion.
I constantly get tunneled off the first hook, decisive strike, tunneled and rehooked, tunneled off second hook and killed. It's not fun. It adds nothing to the gameplay for anyone, and devs apparently either can't solve it or don't care that some people make the game no fun for others intentionally. This is costing players, myself included. I've got about 1400 hrs in the game but would have double or more if this was fixed. When someone gets tunneled like this they get frustrated at the game and quit which reduces player base. It's also totally pointless. Most people are not playing the game with friends so are unable to tell their friend to wait for a safe time to unhook or to run borrowed time.
There is no reason to leave tunneling in the game. It costs players and contributes nothing.
It's also very easily solved. Here's how. Remove DS as a perk and make it automatic for every survivor. As planned with DS make the change so if the survivor does something contributing to the team ie working on a gen etc it ends. So make DS automatic. No skillcheck, just automatic. Also make the DS timer pause if someone gets slugged. Also every DS the killer gets hit with from any survivor in game DOUBLES the stun time with no limit. Also if a killer gets hit with DS and downs the survivor immediately again DS happens again. DS timer only goes down during chase, and DS ends the second the survivor does any gens, heals, totem etc. Also DS deactivates for the last survivor in the game, and also as soon as any other survivor is hooked.
This would remove the incentive for a killer to tunnel one person out of the game and punish it, more as the killer does it more. It would not negatively affect gameplay for killers that don't intentionally tunnel. This would make the game significantly less frustrating for survivors so more new players who try the game would continue playing it and less of the experienced players would quit.

Tunneling is annoying yes, but its used by the killer to help secure a kill
If said survivor is killed quickly enough, you can have a 1v3 with 5 gens left, that is very hard for the survivors to recover from

i stopped taking you seriously when you said to put ds in base kit.

Respectfully disagree. You're basically incentivizing and rewarding bad saves by allowing the unhooked person to immediately divebomb the killer to let the unhooker escape, knowing that the Killer can't actually do anything to the unhooked person during that time.

Rank 20 problems...

So it's apparently illegal to just go after a survivor who just got off their second hook, because you want to secure a kill.

You just need to get better at wasting the killer's time. Killers are much less likely to tunnel you off hook, if they know it'll take too much time to down you again.

You gotta be joking my man. Worst post i've ever seen. Ds base kit? With double the stun per ds, and no skillcheck? Soo basically a free escape out of the killer grasp is what your asking for. It doesn't go down when slugged, so killer just have to eat it? You can just force them to hit you, they slugg and you wait till they pick up and then ez escape. Honestly mate, get a grip!

Why do people like you fib and inflate your time playing this game when you post these little rants? Do you think it adds weight to your argument? It doesn't. Most of us who actually have played this game for any amount of time instantly know you have no veracity. We tune you out or laugh at you. Honesty is the best policy when you give feedback. It also doesn't hurt to design your post in a professional, constructive way. It suffices to say that yours is none of those things.
In the interest of wanting to help someone like you, I'm going to make a few suggestions. Talk to your teammates, or get a team. Most so-called "tunneling" is nothing of the sort. It is incorrectly identified. The majority of the time you die because of unsafe rescues. Now, if you are a Potato Player, i.e. a newbie (and I think you are somewhat) you run into Potato Killers, and they do tend to camp hooks and tunnel more often. This is because they don't know more efficient methods yet. If so, it will lessen as you progress.
I've said this to so many people, and I'm sure I will say it to many more yet. You should focus on YOU. Record your games and review them later with a less biased eye. Concentrate on what YOU can do better or differently to mitigate the situation you find yourself so often. I got this advice from an Otz video, and it was true then for me, and remains true for others. Your current course of action is not productive. You will never get better at this game until you OWN your failures and accept that your limitations are just that.... YOURS. Blaming others is passing the buck and a hinderance to your own success. Focus on the things you can change, not the things you blame.

Stop crying the game is free to play how you want, and "tunneling" is a good strategy. You have four perk slots so always use DS, try to not be found first, play and be happy.

Maybe it's just the natural selection 🙃
