swf

please do something about SWF

game is getting less fun for me as killer and I don't want to have to rely on nurse or spirit just to be able to even do something against SWF

Been brought up many times. What do you suggest?

From what I've seen, the devs won't separate queue them, abolish the game mode, nor punish/debuff them. And they certainly cannot stop the comms part at all. With more than half of all survs in at least a two-man and most revenue coming from survs, the devs are kinda boxed in.

So given all that, what do you do?

If all killers got up and quit then survivors can't play and that means no revenue.

I don't really understand the serious issue with swf... I mean I play both sides at rank 1 every season, but I usually don't find swf too difficult to deal with unless I failed to capitalize their mistakes. Every group makes mistakes every once in a while and it's important to take notes of their gameplays. However I do have 3k+ hours so it's somewhat dull for me to say that "Killers aren't too hard" but can agree on why people don't like swf's.

The most important thing a LOT of people forget though is the gap between solo que and swf. The gap between solo que and swf's must be decreased before any swf changes should be made. The swf mode is universally the "preferred" survivor gameplay because it's frustrating to play with survivors who don't know what they're doing and/or it's just much more fun to play with people you know/can communicate with. The experience for swf's is just so much better so if any changes are to be made for the survivor mode... the gap between the two must be in par with one another.

They'd probably add in ai bot killers at that point. I don't think I'd play that.

Don't need to nerf SWF. Need to buff solo.

    1. Allow survivors to see each others perks and item loadouts in the lobby, so they know the capabilities of their team mates.
    2. Allow survivors to display short, preset messages in game that appear next to their portrait. Things like "Killer is here" "All clear" "Help me" and "Leave me". Give it like a 30s cooldown so it can't be spammed, but it remains on screen for ~10 seconds. Maybe even has a direction indicator when it goes off so you can kinda tell where they are without Kindred/Empathy etc.

This will allow solo's a greater ability to coordinate with each other, bringing them closer to SWF levels.

Once SWF and Solo are closer in ability, then better balance can be achieved and you can see what needs to be buffed or nerfed. Likely gen speeds or early game objectives.

This game needs bots on both sides...

DBD mobile seems so more superior to the actual full version of the game. The AI is actually pretty good to go against on killer side. Have not tried survivor queue yet as there's only so much my eyes can take on a tiny screen.

Sorry but SWF is not going anywhere. If you hate it so much, best start looking for a new game. There is little that can be done, trying to divide the ques would destroy the already long que times.

Like others have said. There are many of us red rank killers that constantly 4k. And I myself am playing with self imposed handicaps of sticking to the "survivor rulebook."

So, once again, probably going unanswered, but I like to ask in these posts. Are you losing more than you are winning as killer?

Just buff solo quee a lot at the point that it start being an swf 2.0 and them pair the killers with it

Yes absolutely I agree that is the best method to use. And many useful ideas how to do that have been given in many threads for a long time. Just a bit slow to get any of them live imo. I also hope a working MMR helps us all.

You don't find SWF difficult, someone else does and it is deal breaker for them = they won't play killer anymore. How is that a win scenario?

Again, just because you are good killer doesn't mean everyone is and OP doesn't hate the game, OP says it is not fun because they are being thrown into SWF matches which are not on their skill level. How much is many? 20% can be many, 30% can be many, how much in % ? From your argument you are saying that we should tailor the game towards best players, and not towards the average Joe.

Yes I know that, but people need to understand the issue that needs to be fixed BEFORE any swf changes. Every day has someone complaining about swf when they don't see the solo vs swf que issue.

Ive been saying for idk how many years now since they gave us SWF. Boost solo players BP, rewards, something to make survivors play the game "the way it should be played"(ie without comms).

There's 0 incentive to play solo, as there's WAY more headaches involved than playing killer at even the lowest ranks.
