so it's like pressing a skillcheck. It's called skillcheck because it requires skill, right?

As long as bloodlust exists then dead hard isn’t a problem. It’s annoying af though and I’m not against deleting it.. I’m also not against leaving it completely as is lol

Blood lust you catch up with the survivor just because

It's a problem when used for distance since there's nothing the killer can do to stop it or circumvent the power it brings, which is basically a third health state and another chance to loop the killer for 20-30 seconds easily.

It's not even intended for distance.. it was intended for people to dodge a hit with it, not as a measure to gain distance.

Dead Hard for distance is annoying mainly on long loops like Ironworks window, the silo thing on one of the farm maps, etc.

My biggest complaint though is how you can dead hard through trapper's traps. If you trapped a "narrow" loop (I.E a narrow hallway, by a vault, killer shack doorway, etc.) a survivor dead harding over the trap means you have to pick up and replace the trap, or get your leg caught. Either way a ton of time is wasted and your power got used against you.

Killer have killed DS now they try to kill dead hard.

DEAD HARD is fine. It have condition. Doesn't work very well against one hit killer. Move you a very small distance. In exchange you can use it when you want. That's the deal.

All exhaustion perk are meant for distance. There's no problem with using dead hard for distance that's it's intended use. It require good position and calculation to make a good use of dead hard. If you just use it to correct your mistake without knowing where your going. It will rarely work because most of the time dead hard is not enough distance to save you.

Good players with skill take into account the fact they have dead hard to make riskier play, like running another loop around a palette or at jungle gym, they check their own distance to the killer and look at killer bloodlust and decide if they do the loop or not. It's not just press e to win.

When you are at a loop and the survivor dead hard to a window. It's because he knew he could do it and calculated his play. If he didn't have dead hard he would have made another play, you would not catch him either.

I don't think it is it works only half the time.and exaustion is annoying. So it doesn't matter to me either way.

People keep saying dead hard can’t be baited out for distance have we just literally forgotten that is the entire point of sprint burst, lithe and balanced landing. Dead hard is not the only exhaustion perk that gives you distance

Absolute crutch, that's it. Killer makes a mistake in chase the surv generally gets a fair distance away and prolongs the chase a long time unless the surv makes a mistake. Survivor with dead hard makes a mistake and most of the time a press of the A button is all they need and the chase goes on like nothing happened. Good luck "just waiting" when they dead hard under the pallet and slam it in your face for your patience. Personally if you're gonna nerf dead hard certain killers like Freddy and Spirit need to be taken a bat to as well. Not much counterplay to Spirit aside from pressing the A button and hoping she doesn't cut off your escape after you do so.

I see a lot of people using We'll Make It at Rank 1 but no one seems to care about that perk? Just because it has a high use rate doesn't equal it being great.

The thing that really annoys me is how people try to downplay the strength of Dead Hard and just say that you can easily bait it or you end up exhausted on the ground most of the time but you see it in every game regardless.

It's a good perk or else you wouldn't see it every game.

Also your comparison with We'll Make It doesn't really make sense.

It definetely is a great perk that can help you a lot. It's not complained about because it's perfectly balanced. You have to earn it by saving a hooked teammate and is limited by a 90 seconds long timer

I have a stream of 9 hours straight with Dead Hard in almost every match and I only lost 3 matches with 2 people getting out. Dead Hard isn't that bad. The 2 times they got out was due to SB.

The only problem of deadhard is that it's not something baseline.

It SHOULD be baseline for all survivors, and killers should also get a buff accordingly to make up for the free chase extender it provides.

Dead hard is a perk for people who cant loop basically. it completely undoes your bad pathing/decision you make. A free escape just by pressing E. imagine if killer had a E key if they made a mistake at a loop to correct themselves and get the down. now imagine being able to use that against every survivor, all the time in the match.

survivors would quickly tell you how annoying it is.

I don't run it when I play survivor.

When I play killer, I usually don't mind it. Can be annoying sometimes, but once you know someone has it, just wait an extra second longer for them to use it and then go for the down. If you have the memory of a gold fish and can't remember who used it 5 times against you in the game already, well that's not my problem. And heck, if you're against a David, chances are he has it, so any first chase against any David, I usually wait a bit longer before going for the down just to double check. (and sometimes against other survivors too but honestly not all that many people run it in the first place for me to do that each time anyway)

Theres a well known pig streamer who complains about it all the time. they only have about 10k hours in the game and win without any regression perks. i guess hes really bad huh lol.
