Autodidact Buff/Rework Suggestion
Autodidact as it stands is a fairly "meh" perk. On paper, it sounds pretty strong but in practice it is wildly inconsistent due to its benefit relying on hitting skill checks, which may not always show up. So, to rectify this, I have come up with two buffs/rework proposals to make it a more reliable perk.
Proposal One: Give Autodidact a passive effect
As the title implies, this idea involves giving Autodidact a passive effect along with its skill check bonus. For each token Autodidact gets, it gives the player a passive +4% healing speed bonus (up to a maximum of 20%). While still semi-reliant on skill checks, the perk now at least isn't completely reliant on them, as now even if skill check RNG isn't in the player's favor, the perk still has functionality.
Proposal Two: The risk/reward
As for the second idea, I propose giving Autodidact a risk reward factor. Because it is reliant on skill checks, Autodidact would be given a passive skill check chance increase. However, because it would be made more reliable/effective, the catch is for each token Autodidact has, the more difficult skill checks become. At 0-1 tokens, the player would have to hit a normal skill check. At 2-3 tokens, the player is given moderately difficult skill checks. At 4-5 tokens, the player is given tremendously difficult skill checks. To make them even more difficult, they could keep the darker color scheme that Autodidact normally has, making the later skill checks potentially harder to hit consistently.
Of course though, these are all just suggestions and most are just spur of the moment thoughts, so they could easily be flawed in some capacity. That said, I'd love to hear what y'all think of the ideas and which one you prefer.

Autodidact, as it is at the moment, is a huge risk to pick up and often doesn't pay off. The skill is entirely RNG dependent, and that is a drawback that mars an otherwise brilliantly fun perk.
I'd suggest to give Autodidact a new effect: 'After healing someone without a medkit for 3 seconds, press the active ability key to increase skill check chance to 100%, lasting until you pass or fail a skillcheck. This effect has a 30 second cooldown.'
This greatly diminishes RNG's grip on the perk.
