re: blood points grind

I apologize in advance if this topic is being talked about somewhere else, but I have yet to see it.

I'm off the opinion that there is too much of a need to grind blood points to play and enjoy this game.

As a player who plays both killer and survivor, farming enough bp to get characters to level 40 for their teachable perks and then finding those perks on other characters results in severe burn out. I'm returning from a 4 month hiatus because I got sick of playing the game; was focusing on getting all my survivors to 40 for their teachable perks, and then began doing the same for killers. It was a nightmare and never enough.

There seems to be a simple solution, which I have not seen proposed anywhere, and that's to have two separate pools of blood points, one for survivors and one for killers. Earning BP in a game would fill both pools equally, allowing you to spend those points on both survivors and killers. This in turn would potentially encourage survivor only players or killer only players to explore playing the other side, since they'd be passively accumulating bp to unlock perks through the blood web for the other side, and would probably want to spend them if they hit the ceiling.

eg. I'm playing as survivor and earn 23k bp. My survivor bp pool now has +23k and my killer bp pool now has +23k. I can only use bp from the survivor pool to level up survivors and bp from the killer pool to level up killers.

Such a change would allow people to enjoy the game in its entirety instead of locking into one aspect of the game or burning themselves out trying to farm bp to level up both survivors and killers. I solely played as a survivor for a long time. Eventually I wanted to test the waters out on the other side, try testing perks/builds that I've seen killers use against me, but guess what, I couldn't. I have to get many killers to 40 (the ones with teachable perks I want) and only after having all the teachable perks I want, level up the killer I actually want to play as (to try and get all the perks on one killer as efficiently as possible). This resulted in severe burn out and I have yet to complete my goal.

The current bp requirements for unlocking perks for both survivors and killers combined is very discouraging, especially if there are newer players joining now after many killers and survivors have been released. The longer the game goes on, the worse this bp situation is going to get, and the harder it's going to become for any new player to join and farm the perks he/she would like. The bp system we currently have is not sustainable and I believe my proposed solution does a sufficient job of alleviating the current necessity for grinding.

With bp being less grindy, players will begin to enjoy the game more, and with my proposed changes, you would theoretically see an increase in number of players willing to play as killers, since they would already have the bp to spend on killers even if they've been focusing solely on survivors (and in turn helping reduce queue time).

Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on the matter.
