Freddy will be fine. The slowdown while placing traps was kinda expected to be honest and some of his addons were a bit too much in my opinion. He is still a really strong killer and after 2-3 weeks everything will turn out normal.

Freddy has a normal lunge, his model just doesnt line up with his lunge range.
As for the only nerf, I mean, being able to spam traps while running at full speed was ridiculous. You have a killer that has incredibly strong gen defense AND strong chase capabilities. Having that kind of killer is kinda unhealthy. So either his teleportation needed to be removed/heavily nerfed. Or his chase needed to be slightly nerfed. You can set traps prior to chases happening and push people towards your traps. You can set pallets prior to chases.
This makes Freddy more strategic rather than brainless.

I think Freddy needed a nerf but they went a little too overboard on this one. They should have left his dream pallet count alone mostly, and I feel like 4.0m/s is a little too low. 4.4m/s would have been fine for placing dream snares. I think it'll be safe to say that Clown is officially the better anti-looper unless they revert these changes or give him buffs.

You cannot bait out a dead hard that's used for distance for a pallet / window that's right in front of them lol
it's so braindead when people say "just bait it out" when that's not how it works in reality. if it was that simple to do it wouldn't be the most used exhaustion perk in red ranks

I play both sides Like yeah it's true that you cant bait it out when they're near a window/pallet It honestly depends on the killer ur playing as and the perks that ur using tbh

Freddy was already garbage against decent players. He was only perceived as "good" because 99% of survivors suck at Dead by Daylight. Put him against even a solo team of any competence, with every slowdown and his most powerful addons, and he's just an M1 Andy.

There's a difference.. They went from him having 1 decent set of addons, to absolutely destroyed all of his addons. The movement speed nerf while placing snares wont do anything imo and the blood pool reduction wont matter if you use it for anti looping during chase.

I definitely worded what I was trying to say wrong. What I meant to say was that in her current form nurse (and to a lesser extent spirit) are an active hinderance to killer balance
Let’s say they make all the current maps smaller because killers like clown and trapper can’t keep up. Nurse benefits the most from this change since she can slug more effectively and chain downs even easier
When you’re either playing as or against nurse your not playing dbd you’re playing the nurse game. Pallets and windows are all but useless and a good nurse can completely disregard the survivors skill (even decent nurses can end chases faster than any other killer
We’re all aware nurse requires skill to play as. While agree having a high skill killer who is very strong is great but the problem is it’s now been done in a much more balanced way in the blight
Another example is deathslinger. Slinger was designed from day 1 to have devastating chases at the cost of his map pressure. Even though this killer was design to disregard chases he is still worse than nurse in pretty much every way
Edit: My main point being if they nerf nurse and spirit they can actually address the solo and SWF disparitiy

The change isn't that much tbh. It will only really effect not so good Freddy players and the good ones will still do well with him.

What C tier killer can teleport between gens, passively put survivors to sleep where they are oblivious and utilize traps for incredible anti looping?
These nerfs will hurt, yes but they will separate good Freddy players from bad ones and a good Freddy will be mostly unchanged imo. Seriously he'll still hold a lot of map pressure and lethality even with these changes it's just going to take some getting used to.

They have 30 second immunity after using a clock, so unless someone uses one mid chase or you find someone right after they use it the chances of it coming into play are going to be pretty rare.

But you're using the rare scenario to say it's going to be bad when the majority of the time it's not going to come into play.
I think people are jumping to conclusions without testing it out first because I really don't think a decent Freddy is going to have any problems with the changes.

It's still only 30 seconds each. Besides in the rare case where you did hit them at 29 seconds, if you are able to get that hit on them out positioned they aren't that great at survivor anyway so it's not going to make much difference in your ability to down them.

Survivor is so brain dead easy and the game rewards you all the time for playing like dogs hti, and yall just stand at a gate, teabagging, and say "gg ez."
