Boil Over Should Allow Survivors To Grab Grounded Objects To Slow The Killer
The grab should last for only one full second, before the killer can resume moving. The wiggle meter will get a 5% increase in speed whenever the survivor grabs onto an object, and the speed increase will expire when they let go.
The killer can combat this by avoiding objects while transporting the survivor to a hook. Boil over’s current effects of making the killer sway will have to be nerfed to 25%. This way, the killer can still manage to get a survivor to a hook at least 24 meters away if they are skilled enough to avoid objects in the environment; however, the perk’s effects will still greatly help in swaying the killer into a prop for the survivor to grab on.
As a killer main, I want hooking to be more engaging as a mechanic in general, and decisive Strike is the current only mechanic that gives me adrenaline when trying to transport a survivor. Whenever I do something as killer, I want it to require skill, which is why mindgames and loop countering is something I find fun. Unless it’s an infinite loop. Then I get agitated.
This sounds a little too powerful to me, but when I play survivor wiggling really does feel pretty pointless.
Another way this could be implemented, is every one the killer collided with an object while the survivor struggles, the wiggle meter receives 10% completion.

Have you ever seen Boil Over and Open Handed x4? It's brutal when the killer can't see hook auras within 46 meters (14 base meters + 32 (4*8 meters)) while carrying a survivor, on top of the increased struggle effect. On top of that, since nobody expects it, the killer usually flips out when it's used against them. Run that with Unbreakable/Tenacity and Self-Care/No Mither, and you've got yourself a solid loadout.
While that would make Boil Over more useful, it can be fine as-is.

Tested it in KYF a while back and Open Handed did affect Boil Over. I don't know if that's changed (since I can't see the killer's point of view in public matches while I play survivor), but I'll test it out later when some people get online.

I can get on in about 3-4 hours. If you want to add me so we can do that, here's a link to my Steam profile: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198045252862/

Boil over is my favorite perk and I gotta say no to your idea. It's a tad bit too strong and forcing the killer to stop moving would make them easier to body block and flashlight blast.
Boil over by itself is a pretty weak perk. However if you plan your use of it, it really shines and pisses killers off. I've had too many games now where I will have a killer just drop me and walk away.Post edited by Oblitiry on0 -
I'm still trying to work the kinks out of a Sabo Jake build.
Saboteur
Boil Over
No Mither
4th perk (Unbreakable, Tenacity, Resilience, or Dead Hard)It would be great if Open Handed affected Boil Over, or if Resilience affected Recovery Speed.
