hatch rework
The Hatch will become visible ("spawn") whenever the number of fully repaired Generators exceeds the number of living Survivors by 1. This is true for the following scenarios:
Four Survivors: 5 fully repaired Generators / Exit Gates are powered
Three Survivors: 4 fully repaired Generators / 1 Generator left
Two Survivors: 3 fully repaired Generators / 2 Generators left
One Survivor: 2 fully repaired Generators / 3 Generators left
+++++++++++++++++++++
Hatch will no longer open automatically. A chest will spawn in a random location when only one survivor left, which will contain a key. Survivor must find a chest and search it to acquire a key in order to open the hatch. The key is consumed once the game is over. Killer can no longer grab a survivor while he is escaping through the hatch or opening it. Survivor cannot open the hatch while in dying state. The time it takes to open the hatch is 2 seconds and it is not affected by any status effects.

What happens to the original key items?
What happens when the killer camps the chest?

What about survivor holding the game hostage?Dull and skeleton keys are not affected and still function the same way. It is a special key that can only spawn in that particular chest. If the killer finds a chest first you obviously most likely are not gonna be able to escape . As for the game being held hostage it won't change anything, It only changes the hatch mechanic. Taking game hostage is a completely different issue devs need to address. It happens even without a hatch.

I prefer it the way it is now. If they were going to do something like you suggest then they should make 2 changes. There should be 2 special chests that spawn a key at least 60 meters apart on the map. This would prevent the killer from camping the chest. If the survivor gets a key then the hatch aura should be visible within 16 meters since there wouldn't be a wind tunnel noise to help locate. I would be fine with the killer being able to see the key chests aura as well as seeing the hatch aura within 16 meters. That would create a pretty interesting end game dynamic.

If the killer camps the hatch, or the chest, do gens. Make the hatch so that it doesn't spawn within X range of Gens.
