Keybind not working

I'm left handed, so I move my character using my right hand with direction inputs set to 8 forward 2 back 4 left and 6 right. These all work fine, however when i bind crouch to 1, my character crouches but also emotes forward. I have bound the point forward emote to . key. No matter how i bind my emotes, whenever I crouch using 1 it always points forward when crouching. I know the world is very right-handed centric but can you fix this and give us lefties some love too. Thanks.
