Help with Hillbilly

Hello! I just recently started dbd and have been really enjoying the killer role.

I need some tips/advice with hillbilly because I always just end up as an m1 killer as the chainsaw is very hard for me to use - the survivor will 90% of the time be able to walk to the side to avoid my chainsaw :( so it just ends up being a way for me to get around the map.

I know it's just because I'm pretty bad right now but any tips would be greatly appreciated by this new killer player! (who incidentally has gone up against red/purple ranks despite only having 6 hours in the game!!)

one thing to always remember with Billy is that when you start you sprint, there is a very brief moment where your control of your turning is very high. You can use this to "curve"-changing your direction suddenly when you actually start the sprint. You can use this to go around corners and get hits, but it takes lot of practice. Even I still haven't mastered it.

You also want to charge your chainsaw slightly when approaching a pallet so you can bait the pallet drop and destroy it with your chainsaw, which is much faster than kicking it. If they don't drop the pallet, let go of the chainsaw and you pretty much lose no distance. You can't do this all the time though due to overheat. DO NOT just tap chainsaw and instantly let go. The charge animation only starts from the survivor's POV after a brief moment.

I just noticed today that there's a small amount of time where you can turn pretty sharply! (went straight into a tree lol) seems like it could be pretty good to mind game survivors. Like I'm going this way... not! - kinda deal XD

Thanks for the answers - I'll keep at it!
