Left For Dead achievement needs a rework
TL;DR The achievement Left For Dead is an antiquated achievement that does not represent the way the game is currently laid out and even under extreme circumstances is not viable.
Currently achievement hunting right now, most of the game's achievements can be done by grinding the game out, setting up a build to create a desired scenario, or by just buying the killers/survivors they correspond to.
All except Left For Dead.
Left For Dead
As the last person still alive, activate the last generator and escape through the exit gate
This was hard when it first came out, but doable and the scenario in which you would need to do this came up frequently. When this achievement came out, there was no endgame collapse, I don't even think Killers could close the hatch. This means that often killers would be on their toes trying to figure out where you as the survivor are going to go.
While it is hard, this does mean that you did have the chance to finish the last generator and open the gate while the killer was trying to figure out what your plan was.
With how Dead by Daylight has progressed, this achievement has become nigh impossible, especially at higher ranks.
This achievement requires a dream-like scenario where every survivor dies but you, the killer doesn't find the hatch at least until you finish the last gen because the endgame will begin otherwise, and the killer somehow isn't able to stop you from opening the gate.
In what universe, especially at high ranks is this going to happen? There's absolutely no way to set this up either excluding sandbagging your team which,
- A) People shouldn't be rewarded nor encouraged for getting their team murdered
- B) Still won't guarantee this scenario occurs
I think this achievement should be reworked simply because the scenario in which it happens does not exist anymore in Dead by Daylight. It's an antiquated aspect of the game that hasn't been viable since the introduction of the endgame collapse which came out literal years ago.
A simple rework would make this achievement more viable and keep the spirit of the challenge intact.
Left For Dead
As the last person still alive with all generators completed, open and escape through the exit gate
This keeps the spirit of the achievement alive while making it much more viable for the people to grind towards. At the end of the day this is the exact same scenario that would occur in old Dead by Daylight when this achievement was viable.
I'm sure there are other, better ways of fixing this achievement, but this is just my solution to what I noticed was an relic of a bygone age of the game's history.

Yeah this achievement is painful to get. Trying to get it was the first time I got tilted by Trapper. I like your idea

While Steam will allow achievements to be adjusted Sony and Microsoft won't let devs change achievements as long as they are possible to complete. While difficult it is still possible to get the trophy - farming killer after rest of team DCs/hook suicides or having one gen almost complete as last survivor is sacrificed and completing it once animation is over/before killer closes hatch.

Yeah back before EGC killer couldn't close the hatch so you would get "hatch standoffs" where the killer and survivor were both standing on hatch and first one to act loses (if the killer hits survivor tried to jump in before the killer hit, the killer would get a grab)
So many killers in these days would just camp on the hatch. As survivor in this situation you could just go repair all the gens and leave out the gates to get this achievement and while rare was doable. These days you basically have to coordinate this with a SWF. get all but the last gen done, 99 the last gen. Have your team DC, then finish the last gen and go out the gate

I believe achievements cannot be adjusted if they're still able to be completed - and technically, this one can still be completed. So it's unlikely to get changed.

wait till you try the outdated nurse achievement to grab somebody from a gen after 3 blinks >>

You'd be surprised how shockingly easy this achievement is to get. Did it when I was going for the nurse achievements.
All you have to do is get decently good at Nurse and you can usually dominate most matches you get into, the restrictions triple blink give you really aren't a huge hinderance. From there you can just grab someone off the exit gate, it's pretty easy.
Even then, you can usually convince a survivor to play along especially if they're the last one alive. You can try banging on a gen until they work on it and then start triple blinking. Hopefully you'll have a survivor with common sense and they'll realize what you're doing and play along.
But yeah, I've done most every achievement excluding the adepts for characters I don't have and the new ones that pop up every chapter or so. All of them are relatively easy or just grindy except for the Left for Dead achievement. This is the only achievement in the game that is 100% out of your control and damn near impossible.
The only other achievement I'd remotely place anywhere remotely as difficult as Left for Dead is the Evil Incarnate achievement for Shape:
Evil Incarnate
In a public match, kill all 4 survivors with the TIER 3 Evil Within
Most of my attempts at the achievement were lost because last survivor found hatch, however even this achievement has gotten easier with age. Better perks have come out since Shape's release such as Corrupt Intervention that give you loads of time. You can now control where the hatch spawns with offerings, and you can just flat out grind this achievement out as you can get better with Shape and get better results.
Left for Dead is the only achievement in the game where it has gotten harder to get as the game has progressed. You cannot grind this achievement out, you cannot equip any perks to make this easier, the situation where this achievement even becomes applicable is something that almost never happens.
Left for Dead is 100% luck based through and through

While I understand that this isn't exactly very high on the list of issues Dead by Daylight has, it's an optional achievement after all, it would be a quality of life fix that would be much appreciated. With the development team going back and reworking maps and buffing old perks, it would be nice to see and show the community that the team is looking at all parts of the game for antiquated features, even the achievements.
Achievements imo should be something, you know, achievable and be able to be worked towards. The only way to work towards this achievement since it doesn't come up in a normal game is to actively sandbag your team and not progress the game so that you can be the last person alive.
This is actively detrimental to the experience of your team and shouldn't be encouraged for people trying to go for this achievement.
It would suck if something like this would be left on the wayside simply because the values of an achievement cannot be changed on whatever platform is preventing it.
