2.2.2 way too easy for killers

Playing the 2.2 series as a survivor, i am experiencing following:

  • Wiggling doesn't work anymore. Killers can drag a lvl 148 Kate Benson with boil over III half across the playing field, even if a killer doesn't use iron grasp and i go from left to right like a madman on my PS4 controller.
  • Vaulting is waaaaaay too slow. Kate Benson's perk "Windows of Opportunity" III may look great, it doesn't work, when vaulting is this slow on the ps4
  • Iron grasp is too much. IMPOSSIBLE to get out of it on a PS4 (even with the kate mentioned above)
  • In the 2.1 series I managed to escape 1 in 6 games. In the 2.2 series (unless the killer is an utter noob) it is less than 1 in 20.

So in my opinion the game is getting off balanced. As a survivor it isn't much fun anymore as (in my opinion) it has been made way too easy for killers.

@Warfish70 This doesn't sound like a balance problem to me. Honestly, it just sounds like a PS4 hardware problem.

If you think Iron Grasp is bad now be glad you're not against it's original version.. I don't understand any of your points here and think you just need more practice.

This thread sounds like somebody's not even reached rank15....

Play the game more and you will understand why this thread sounds foolish.

Literally none of those things were effected by patch 2.2.2 though...

I've been having no problems, still running the killer like crazy.. you're not supposed to wiggle out everytime "facepalm" FFS if you wiggle out all the time the game is broken because the the killer can't complete their objective "shrugs"

Hold down the run button when you vault.

    • Iron Grasp adds 2 seconds of wiggle time.
    • How fast you wiggle your joystick has no impact if you've exceeded the input speed limit.
    • Your character level is meaningless.
    • Escaping is a "you" problem; as in, "you are not good enough to escape".
    • Platform-specific issues are not balance issues.

I'd say "see you in the Fog", but I don't play on PS4.

You say "platform specific issues" are NOT balanced issues....
    Well they ARE

    • Moving a mouse vs a ps4 controller is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more easy with a mouse,
flashlights, camera positions, etc. are 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000 x times faster
with a mouse than a ps4 controller. You can't set the speed of it at a ps4

In the dust of gaming the commodore 64 (still have a working one!) had games called summer games, winter games, california games, etc. The gameplay demanded to move your joystick sidewards as fast as possible to get the best result. You don't want to know how often i had to buy a new joystick
With the ps4 i already had to replace BOTH ps4 controllers ONLY due to wiggling! (68 euro / controller!)
Apart from it doesn't do ANYTHING BUT DESTROYING CONTROLLERS!!! (it takes at least 16 secs to wiggle a char out of a killer's grasp while ANY hook can be reached WITHIN 10 SECS!), it isn't much fun either. So WHY WIGGLE AT ALL?????!!!!!

Sprint burst, balanced landing, etc last for three secs. After that any haunting killer can reach an "escaped" survivor within 5 secs.

when a survivor is wounded and healing itself next to a pallet, hook, whatever, the gameplay often points to the wrong

So I have had it with DBD.

    • A NOOB killer can kill a VERY EXPERIENCED survivor EASILY! The are NO benefits for L200 survivors vs. L1 killers, not even a 0.01% per level!
    • LOTS of killers CAMP when they hooked a survivor, EVEN WHEN THEY HAVE EVERY ADVANTAGE IN THE GAMEPLAY, apart from camera position. imho a killer should fall asleep for 25 secs when they stay 10 secs wtihin 32 meters of a hooked survivor!
    • Experieced survivors (40%+ completion of the game) are teamed up with newbies
    • A killer should be heard by it's heartbeat. There are enough that are COMPLETELY silent. No perk of a survivor can counter it (espescially when they're approached from behind). Apart from that, Mike Myers downs any survivor with a SINGLE hit! The first he'll get is the unlucky one. 99% of the time the result of this survivor is a -1, escpecially with campers, AND THIS SURVIVOR CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!
    • When a killer disconnects from a game ALL (hard to find) offerings are lost
    • When survivors (whether or not deliberately) disconnect during the game the rest of the team faces TREMENDOUS disadvantage. You have to complete at least 2 generators to get a hatch. (now imagine 3 disconnects at the start of a game)

I have played tens of thousands of games (started with pong in 1977), i am a professional programmer and software tester for decades. DBD has an awesome potential, but (at least at the ps4) it has been made so that it is almost virtually impossible to escape for survivors. (other than a killer decides to harvest or is an utter noob).

No its not. I play on PS4 only and just by rotating the stick I wiggle just fine especially if I sabo hooks with a plan ahead to wiggle off

Same for vaults, no problems at all. Its just a "gitgud" problem

Dude, I'm sorry to tell you this but.. You're dumb. I just slowly rotate the stick and I wiggle just done, I figured this out in my first game ever after 2 min, less controller consuming and less fatigue doing the same motion.

About a mouse it would help killers more than survivors (look huntress or nurse). To be a programmed and an old gamer you look pretty dumb if you haven't figure out the things I just listed so comes in min you are lying or kinda stupid in this regards.

You talk about lost of offerings when killers lost add one everytime while you can keep you stuff if you survive or find new ones if you start with none ( what I do to collect extra items)

I think you haven't played enough if you critique mayers and his evil within III. Just get good at the game ny dear """""""""programmer""""""""""". DbD have a lot of issues but none of these are the one listed by you.

Platform-specific issues are not balance issues, period. This is like saying bugs and cheats are balance issues. Balance issues arise from the intended mechanics of the game; not from someone playing on inferior hardware or exploiting the game.

I hate ppl who support Sony's crappy business practices (pay for internet when you already pay for internet, no cross platform because we're market giants)

Also console users don't support the market as good as PC players.

Also, You don't use the mouse to wiggle on PC, Its A + D on your keyboard, at least by default.

Is this a major bait??? You aren't supposed to be able to wiggle off unless a close by hook is sabotaged or someone bodyblocks the killer. Other hardware problems you have I can't relate to since I don't play on ps4.

See? Its so easy to dismiss arguments like you do

BTW you say now you don't play on PS4 when you started the thread crying about your PS4 controller and how easily get broken by wiggling? Wow when you lie at least try harder

You do realize you're not supposed to wiggle out from the killers grasp every single time right as a matter of fact you're not supposed to wiggle out of their grasp at all it's their as a bar of hope if teammates help you wiggle out but if not you won't you should never and i mean NEVER expect to wiggle free iron grasp only adds like what 2 seconds windows of opportunity shows you auras of vaults and pallets nothing more it doesn't affect the speed you vault at or throw a pallet down just a simp aura perk . boil over increases sway of the killer BUT someone killers may be used to it also idk if you know or not but boil over does not affect wiggle speed.
