Hey my piggy king hope all is well I'm trying to figure out how to take clips from live streams but it's proving a nightmare to help the cause .I hope you are doing well xx played tonight had a few issues with frame drops especially as hag but only mild thankfully plus drinking cider help ease my frame rate woes lol 🐷💕

I'd love for them to pin it but I think they won't do it because they don't want a post pointing out issues at top even though it would be helpful.
I'm hoping that because more posts are popping up from newer members it's showing them that it is an important issue they need to finally address.

It's honestly very difficult I honestly wouldn't be streaming it if I had my way but it's been requested i do so .I used to play dbd every night as well now I only play once a week .I jumped on tonight as I really want the boomer charm but and after a match of hag with frame drops I had to call it a night.
It's really sad in all honesty I love the game but it's performance issues really just ruin my enjoyment . 🐷😭

Used to be my favorite game but these performance issues make it hard to enjoy. I stick around because of how much time I've put in and I keep hoping that maybe they'll finally fix these issues.
My cut off point will be when I finally get a ps5, if by then they still have yet to address performance issues I'm not even bothering installing it on the PS5. I've seen new gen players start to report performance issues after patches so only a matter of time before performance gets wicked bad on new gen too.

This is my chief concern as well. Everyone says just get the next gen when they're available that's your optimization (which is total bs by the way) but if after six months of their stronger hardware brute forcing DBD to run well-ish they too show increasing frame drops and the like, then ######### is the point?

Exactly. Having performance issues start popping up less than 6 months after release is not promising. Sure they're minor now but how long until they're just as bad as on old gens?
They've ignored the performance issues on old consoles, have released multiple killers without thinking how they'll perform on consoles, and now new consoles are starting to show signs of performance issues. While I hope they'll change and give console attention that hope lessens each day with their silence.

Been a while since I checked this thread.
Oh the devs still don't care that their game literally freezes for up to 2 full seconds whenever virtually anything happens and runs on like 15 fps on Asylum (for instance) even though they promised 60 fps?

It has been almost
2 WEEKS
since Mandy answered this thread and we still have 0 info from her or anybody else.
It's just unbelievable how long it takes.
Can they please just be honest and tell us they don't care about console/low and mid range PC players?
I would much prefer that answer than constantly having to ask the same damn question over and over and over again.
This whole scenario is really embarrassing and unprofessional on BHVRs part to put it mildly

Yeah I get that mandy dosent work there directly but you figured with them being a community manager and the other thing i forget they would occasionally listen to them. And if they are they are really slow to respond

omg ppl dead harding is the worst on my xbox and i get random frame drops all the time no matter what side. ngl i kinda miss the days when sloppy butcher was the only thing freezing my game -_-

Yeah, I know Mandy doesn't work AT BHVR, but still, I feel like two business weeks is enough.

I don't think anything will be done about this unless enough people that want it fixed stop spending money on the game. And then, they would have to connect the dots to why they are taking a revenue loss to people wanting better game optimization. They would probably think it was because of "toxicity" and try to create a new feature that performs a psych evaluation on players and ban them if they don't meet a threshold. Of course this would be after they have played 100 hours and spent 200 dollars on the game, logically.

Honestly, I just want an answer. I'd love to be understanding and compassionate towards BHVR, but they aren't giving me much to work with. Everytime this topic has come up, they've seemingly brushed it off as if it wasn't important.
If anyone who sees this has a way to contact BHVR, respectfully, please do so and try to get an answer. I'm out of ideas.
We have hundreds of personal stories and numerous videos of proof.
We deserve an answer.

The RE chapter looks like it would be fun but I don't trust it will run well on console. In ptb feedback section a reason a dev gave for there being no more than 2 zombies is performance issues (balance being first reason). If more than 2 cause performance issues on PC what is going to happen on console?

I do remember that after they locked the previous thread, the first graphic update came out, and a few posts popped out with "OMG tnx devs, you fixed the framerate!! I can finally play the game!!! WOWWWW", while I was utterly shocked at how worse things were. But in these posts, there were a lot of "oh thank you for the feedback, we are very happy about that!" replies.
Luckily, there was also a hot fix patch a few days later that, at least for me, really did improve things.
Judging by the videos posted here, I see things are now even worse that they were before - like, I never experienced that IMMENSE stuttering some of you get with, for example, Deathslinger.
It's just incredible (...well, actually very much credible) how much frame rate is important, much more than controller vs mouse. I used to think Nurse was just unplayable on console. Now that I've got a PS5... oh god, you can actually play her :O.
Like, this is a Nurse on PS5. Just... night and day in respect of how what old gen consoles need to endure.

I don't believe in that anymore.They are going to continue ignoring us,maybe give us the standard answers we already heard a million times and that's it.
They don't care about us and they very clearly showed that.
It's not going to affect their success in any way because people will keep on playing and spending money

What response could we reasonably expect at this point, beyond the put-offish "We heard you and our team is working on it" kinda statement?
First there's the feeling of being forgotten about and left behind, despite glimmers of hope like their unfulfilled goal of 60fps minimum for everyone.
Then Crossplay comes without a decent shot at a level playing field performance wise, no k&m support to at least bridge the input gap, and no option to matchmake with only console for a semblance of fairness either. Can't even lower the graphics settings in a desperate attempt to reclaim some frames as our PC cousins can with a two-second toggle.
The most frustrating thing though imo is the lack of open communications about the entire subject. No time frame, future goals, nothing beyond "Our team is aware" maybe every six months. So very infuriating to me, and I doubt I'm alone in that.
Devs we love your game, support it in many ways, and wish to continue to play it but can we? If any of the numbers tossed about for console playerbase are true, we are the biggest chunk of your base now, with something like 85% still on PS4 and Xbox1 for lots of reasons. I'm afraid we need some support back please.

No response will ever be stated to this. They are either unable to optimize it and simply cannot admit it publicly or they aren't working on it for a long time now and higher ups won't let anyone respond to this issue in any way just to not piss off console customers even more

First week RPD will have higher rate so may be better off playing other maps instead. Will suck to play sacrifice ward only to get RPD because it has high pick rate anyway.

Just read this interview with head of Playstation Studios and their attitude towards ps4 is one I really wish BHVR would have for ps4/Xbox 1.

How is me asking a direct question with zero passive aggressive comments, name calling or sarcasm make you think I might be blaming her specifically for any lack of response to this thread to the point you need to make a post about it? Mandy is the moderator that posted on this thread stating she would try to find out more information, and since I can't @ a community manager on this without it getting stealth edited out of my post, is the only person it seems we can ask for a response from. It has been a while since she has stated she would try to find out more information and if you don't ask for it, you might not get it. I am not mad at anyone or wish any personal ill-will towards any member of the Dead by Daylight team.
I also don't know why everyone feels they need to share how business works with everyone else. I am an engineer that has worked for two large employers and am fully aware of how much politics there is around public relations. I shouldn't have to tell people this for them to give me the benefit of the doubt, especially when I am not specifically finger pointing at someone.
That said, that doesn't mean I do not have the right to be frustrated about their lack of transparency and make posts pointing out it can be better.

I don't think anyone was blaming Mandy for BHVRs lack of response. Just checking in with her to see if she can see if there's any update since she's only link we have to them and it's been couple weeks. People have shared their frustrations over BHVR not responding but I don't think anyone is frustrated with Mandy.

I'll will concede to your second point of this might be good information for people who don't know. But when you are directly replying to my post it doesn't feel like you are speaking generally to others outside of me. A way you could have conveyed that would be to first say, and for everyone's information. Or just made a standalone post speaking generally to everyone instead of replying to two of us specifically and saying I don't know if you are, but if you are.

You started off your post saying you needed to defend Mandy. Even though you start off that end sentence saying you don't think anyone was blaming Mandy you kinda contradict yourself with the "but if you are... " It's like saying something offensive but following up with "no offense" and expecting people not to be offended/become defensive.
I was clarifying that no one has blamed Mandy for BHVRs lack of response because it'd suck if she came in to see your comment and starts misinterpreting or second guessing people's frustrations towards BHVR as frustrations towards her when no one is frustrated/blaming her. I don't want Mandy to find offense over things that are not directed at her at all because someone said she needed to be defended while quoting someone just asking for an update and another saying they're hoping for an honest response if it's that last gen is being forgotten.
