Old ruin x (New ruin + undying)
I'm still thinking the old ruin was way easier to play around and to counter than this combo. Put tinkerer and a very mobile killer on top of it and is way stronger and effortless than before.

In retrospect, I think old ruin's problem wasn't being too strong, since Ruin is still strong and remains king of gen regression perks after undying was added and pop was nerfed
Old Ruin punished less experienced players more, was inconsistant in its slowdown (Since it was dependant on skill checks) but it was also a band-aid to generator repair times as for a long time the penalty for 2-manning a gen wasn't 15% like it is now, it was 10% and old Toolboxes were a thing
So, it's not that old ruin was necessarily weaker or stronger - the game has just shifted in a slightly more balanced direction with stacking on gens + toolboxes. Old ruin FELT much stronger because it was around during this time.
That's my take on it, at least

It seems to be an unpopular opinion here, but I think Old Ruin was much better than New Ruin.

In my opinion perk could be balance around killer.
eg: Ruin is infinitely stronger on killer with mobility like: Billy, Nurse, Freddy, Spirit, Blight & Wraith(less so but still).
Ruin is also trash on Huntress, Deathslinger & Trickster since they don't have the mobility to force survivor off gen that often.

Old ruin was too inconsistent. Skill checks as a whole are luck based and if survivors could hit greats it was useless

Let old Ruin along with the souls of the new players it shattered.

I prefer the new one, it's 100% regress value when you interrupt a gen that someone is working on, while the case of old ruin was just random chances.
