(PTB 4.7.0) Lucky Break - Keep the hidden scratch mark buff but make it anti tunnel
I wanted to post this in 4.7.0 feedback but it's closed, so I wanted to voice my opinion here (if its allowed).
What if Lucky Break only activated when you were unhooked? Allowing you to get out of the area with no trace you were there, and deactivates when you are healed? But only reactivates when you get unhooked for the second time.
Making it anti tunnel allows the survivor:
- A heavy advantage in chase if the killer chooses to go after the unhooked survivor.
- 90 seconds is a LONG time of no scratch marks, and can realistically be used for both hooked phases if the survivor can heal up fast enough after the first hook.
- Not letting Lucky Break proc early game allows the killer to build up pressure but allow the survivor to slip away mid game (a lucky break! hahhh...)
Lucky Break could activate if the survivor gets injured after getting hooked once to allow them to slip away, but with how fast a survivor could heal up with perks/items, it might be better to keep it as an anti tunnel perk so it doesn't shake things up too much. Im all for meta changes but Lucky Break in its current PTB iteration seems a lil too strong.
Thoughts?
Also I love the BT change, thank you. It was very much needed.

Off the Record wants to know your location.
If that response wasn't clear... there already exists a perk that is essentially the Stealth version of Decisive Strike. Forcing Lucky Break into that niche makes no sense since it is already full. Off the Record might need a buff or two... but I don't think your suggestion is a good one.

true but Off the Record is like an anti tunnel version of Iron Will + Distortion, while Lucky Break is more of a anti tunnel version of Lightweight. Plus scratchmarks are a way bigger deal then sound when returning to hook.
I do agree though, maybe anti tunnel isn't the best course of action for Lucky Break, but since this perk is gonna give free escapes, its gotta be balanced accordingly, much like what happened to DS when it went anti tunnel with its changes.
