Edit the basement

With the very powerful basement DS nerf,it has become impossible to go out.The killers use it as an infinite loop.

There aren't exactly any objectives in the basement besides the chest. You can't even sabo the hook. How exactly did you lose DS in the basement?

Apparently you never play survivor. If someone hangs on the hook someone will come to the rescue. The rescuer will replace the person on the hook.2.The person who is hooked will either save one of the remaining 2 survivors or the person who is hooked on the first hook will save.DS will be passive if the first hooking up saves.DS is not active in the other two survivors already. So basement means free serial hook.

This is what is known as hook trading, something survivors do to alleviate pressure from their teammates. Essentially, you save a teammate from death hook and waste more time for the killer by using your hook state. Usually it's best done with Deliverance in case the killer tries to go after the freed survivor.

But anyway, there are still ways to counter this. BT was buffed so it works against Insidious so use the BT body-block trick, Kindred can also work to keep your teammates from suffering your fate, Head On since there's a locker in the basement, and of course, locker DS still works. Also as a general survivor rule, avoid the basement at all costs unless it's below the shack

i play solo survivor.I'm not the one who decides which perks people will choose.Hook trade is a trade in the basement where only the killer profits. Also, the body block won't work against stronger killers while camping.DS was wasting at least some time before getting nerfed, but now it's just a serial hook for him

You know the “freezer room” in Gideon? What if every basement was like that? Normal basement - but with walls (and a window) making a more closed off square inside. Might need to enlarge the overall basement to make this work.

The walls should have more openings than the Gideon version so that the killer doesn’t lose extra time when carrying people to these hooks. But just the fact that they’re there gives survivors SOME chance at escape.

The DS nerf shouldn't effect the basement play almost at all, plus the basement is supposed to be a powerful yet situational tool, if you get 2 or 3 people hooked down there its not meant to be easy to get out of.

If the killer not an instadown killer (mostly only Bubba) then 2 people, or in the worst scenario 3 can bring out somebody, and nobody have to change with the hooked survivor.

With the very powerful BT buff it will be near impossible NOT to get out of the basement.
