Killer starting the match in very close proximity of survivors
I've been playing this game for about 6 weeks and I generally love it. I'm not usually one to complain. Win or lose, I don't care. I just want to have fun. I want my matches to last longer than the time I have to wait to start them, and as long as that happens and I actually get to play fairly, I'm generally satisfied. This is a good game.
However, I've noticed that killers often spawn INCREDIBLY close to survivors, or at least this seems to be happening to me with alarming regularity. For the first month i was playing this game it didn't seem to be a regular issue. Now it's happening roughly 40 percent of the time, at least. The map will load, the camera will spin into ready position, and I, as a survivor, will try to get my bearings and develop some spatial awareness. Yet many times now - dozens at this point - I've encountered the killer within 20 seconds or less. It doesn't matter which direction I go, it doesn't matter whether I'm crouching or running. Nothing seems to be making any difference. It's a crapshoot as to whether a killer will be approaching me from behind or right around the next corner within the first minute of the game.
I understand that randomness is part of the game. I'm not asking for easy wins or the ability to have a guaranteed 1st generator fixed before I'm discovered. I'm not asking for the killers to be nerfed in any way either. All I ask is fairness. And if there IS some system in place that assures that the killers and survivors are always at least a minimum distance from each other at the start of the game, it doesn't seem to be working. This has happened in Midwich, where the Spirit was literally one room away and found me when I walked out into one of the school's main halls. I was caught within about 15 seconds. This has happened at Lery's, where I can be walking down the hall and suddenly without warning the terror radius will begin and as soon as I turn to run away the bloodstain is already on my back. This has happened in a multitude of different matches, regardless of the combination of maps and characters. From people I've spoken to on the forums, this has happened to others as well.
I'm providing you with the most egregious example I've ever seen. The killer is already surrounding the whole part of survivors within six seconds. Literally six mere seconds. You're welcome to count yourself. We're all in a one-way room and have no choice to head toward the threat. You can watch the match if you wish, to see us all get slaughtered, but the relevant point is within the first 10-15 seconds of the match. There is absolutely NO reason why the killer should be in such an advantageous position that he has carte blanche to attack whatever survivor he wants because he had the random luck of spawning RIGHT in the next room (in this case in a very large and complicated map, no less).
If there's a minimum distance that has to be set between killers and survivors at the start of the game, I ask you to take a closer look at it. And if there isn't one, I ask you to please consider it. Hell, even a "ten second immunity" (with the inability to work on generators for that time, that's fine with me) would make things more fair. I'm extremely tired of starting a game not knowing whether or not a 5-8 minute queue will lead to a match in which I'm already having to flee the kill within single digits. That's absurd.
Thank you for your time.

I aint gonna lie I didnt feel like reading this whole essay but you could just start bringing vigos shroud to spawn far as possible from the killer. Generally I dont have a problem with the killer spawning near me if i get chased so be it ill waste his or her time.

Well no offense bu the essay was in-depth because it was meant for the devs. They need as much information as possible.
Anyway you're not wrong on paper about Vigo's shroud, but there are two issues I have with it: I shouldn't have to always waste my offering slot just to counter something that shouldn't be happening anyway, and I've been told by several experienced players that this offering should be avoided like the plague anyway because killers can tell when it's used in the loadout screen and tend to make a beeline for the farthest areas from their spawn point anyway, thus negating it altogether.
For me, the simple fact is that killers and survivors should not be placed virtually right next to each other. The maps are big enough for this to not be necessary, ever. Everyone should have a chance to explore their surroundings and get a feel for the map without pressure from the other side starting within mere seconds of the match. No killer should be so close that the survivors have six seconds to leave the starting room before they get chased, as demonstrated in my video. That's a bit much.
