Hag and Twins are fun on paper, but super boring in practice
As someone who primarily plays killer and has played this game for a relatively short time, I'm always looking for new killers to learn whose powers sound fun or appealing. I really enjoy gameplay revolving around map control and who reward good planning. As such, two killers whose concepts immediately sound appealing are Hag and Twins: Hag can place traps to catch survivors off-guard around the map and Twins can swap back and forth between two killers to exert extra map control.
Unfortunately, the gameplay of both of these killers is actually boring in practice because of their implementation. Many killer in DBD are not enjoyable to play against as survivors, but Twins and Hag stand out as two killers who aren't even particularly to fun to play as, and that's sad given that I'm totally interested in both their concepts. I think these killers are really boring for the following reasons:
HAG
Hag is waaaay too good at camping and not nearly good enough at actually chasing. The kit of Hag basically rewards you for trapping 1/2 of the map, downing someone and placing them in that half of the map, and then just endlessly camping the generators and hooked survivors on that side until the survivors are forced to start triggering your traps. Chases are what's fun in DBD (subjective but I think 95%+ of players would agree), and the fact that Hag's kit doesn't promote that gameplay at all is boring.
The easiest way to fix Hag would be to give her 4.6m/s movement speed and lower her ability to camp unhooks. If that's stepping on the toes of Trapper too much then I think Trapper needs his traps buffed to make the character more in line with the rest of DBD's killers and Hag just needs to be reworked entirely. As is, I never touch this character except for dailies and I'll probably never consider playing her either. I know a lot of community members who feel the same.
TWINS
This character is so close to being great, but for the fact that when you down someone as Victor you have no choice but to leave the survivor on the ground, i.e slug them. If you don't want to slug the survivor, you have to traverse the map as Charlotte to hook them thereby wasting a ton of time, and if you leave them slugged the survivors probably aren't having much fun and you risk survivors getting picked up and making games take forever.
In my opinion, Victor really needs the ability to hook or 'cage' (borrowing a term from Pyramid Head here) survivors so you aren't just forced to leave people on the ground all the time.
SUMMARY
The summary of this post is a plea to the devs to please rework Hag to make her stronger at chasing and less dependent on camping, and rework the Twins to make "slugging" less of a necessity. I like the concepts of both these killers and would like to play them, but subtle flaws in their design practically force you into boring play patterns.
