Open Handed: also strengthens killer's Aura-reading abilities

For example, Barbecue & Chilli

After hooking a Survivor, all other Survivors' Auras are revealed to the Killer when they are farther than 24 meters from the Hook.

OP? Don't worry, with Kindred and Open Handed you can see every move the Killer makes.

The developers seem to underestimate how strong an ability the aura display of other players is in this game, so I'm sure Devs will find this suggestion "interesting" and "fine".

    Current Patch: father than 40 meters from the Hook

    Open Handed increases all Aura-reading ranges by 16m.

    So it shows at a range farther than 40-16=24m from the hook.

    No one uses open hand as much as you believe, I have yet to see anyone use that perk since this update. It would be a waste of a perk spot for any killer to use a perk similar to that.

    Why on earth should a survivor perk help the killer? Open-Handed isn't even particularly strong and there would be negative reason to bring it if it could superpower Nurse's and BBQ, one of which will be in play most games.

    I still think you're wildly overestimating the average power of Kindred with this perk, but even if it were as bad as you're making it out to be, this would be the wrong answer to the problem.

    Please stop underestimating aura reading ability.

    Why on earth should a survivor perk help the killer?

    In the case of Mettle of Man,

    • When you are healed again, your Aura will be revealed to the Killer whenever you are farther than 12/14/16 metres away.

    Why? Because it's powerful.

    Killer's perk, Dying Light, also has an effect that helps the opponent, "The Obsession is unaffected by this penalty and instead grants a permanent 33 % Action Speed bonus".

    It's not strange.

    It would be a spectacularly destructive nerf to a perk that's overall quite underwhelming. I mean, this would turn it from a bad, situational survivor perk to the best killer perk you can wish for. Imagine All-Seeing Wraith or Scratched Mirror Myers with Open Handed on the field. They'd literally never have to look for anyone since they can see everyone all the time.

    This is like saying Monstrous Shrine should also set survivor's luck to 100% while they're hooked in the basement to 'balance it out'.

    Hold on. Are you suggesting that the Survivor perk "Open-Handed" also improve Killer auras?

    As you all think this is a stupid suggestion, that the Open Handed change in the 4.7.0 update is just stupid.

    I am relieved to see that you all do not underestimate aura reading abilities.
