Demogorgon With Pallets
Demo after the rework feels much better to play and a lot less dependent on Rat Liver (but it's one of his best addons). The thing is while he is a solid high B tier killer without addons, he needs Barb's Glasses to be able to have any lethality around pallets. He is not a killer that can play around the safer pallets and he is not a killer that can catch up easily after breaking a pallet. If one of these things were addressed in the future he would become a solid A tier killer, which he should be.
Right now, if the survivors consist of good loopers in a map like The Game or Fractured Cowshed, Demogorgon has no way to get any hits without addons until most of the pallets are gone, which is not ideal.

You should try pallet break teching in tiles with broken LOS, L-walls for example. Force the survivor to go to the side of the tile with their optimal escape route, attack the pallet with your basic attack, they hear this and assume the break is happening so peel away, you then catch up to the survivor hitting them with a Shred.
But as for breaking pallets with Shred, I do feel like, since his power is somewhat of a ranged attack, making it so his Shred breaks are quicker would make him too obnoxious at high level. I disagree that his break and catch up play is bad. You can easily position yourself so that you Shred break when you've put the survivor in the least optimal position for them in most tiles.

You can position yourself to lose a lot let distance compared to breaking it yourself but against good survivors who also position themselves at the corner of the loop to start running the moment you break the pallet it is not enough to stop them from getting to another loop. Like I said, in a map like Fractured Cowshed where there is always another loop right next to the current one he can't do much against the survivors.
Maybe a more stealthy portal placement would help but literally every single A and S tier killer and most B tier killers has a way of playing around pallets or catch up afterwards, something Demogorgon doesn't have.

Honestly, it's just something to deal with. Making him break pallets with Shred faster at base-kit is not a good direction to take him in.
His chase is ridiculously good at high level. When you get to a pallet that has multiple peel aways, getting the break is all that matters, since it restricts peel aways later on. You gotta remember his power is a very good reactionary zoning tool, misjudged slightly by a survivor will always guarantee a hit. So having that with quick breaks just wouldn't fun to go against.
