Cannot interrupt healing without wasting Sprint Burst

Another survivor refused to stop healing me as the killer's terror radius closed in. I did not want to waste my Sprint Burst until i knew which direction to run (Lery's Hospital map, so no line of sight on the killer). I tried walking away from the Steve to move to a safer spot with Fixation, but by the time the killer was visible it was too late.
I was hard camped out of the match by Insidious Leatherface. -_-

I believe that survivor emotes (pointing or waving) will prevent someone from healing you, so you could just repeatedly point until you’re sure you want to run.
