You can argue the ‘only gaming experience I have to care about is my own’ but the developers do have to care about the game experience for everyone. When hard tunnelling/camping effectively makes the game pointless for at least 1 survivor just sitting on a hook - and potentially 3 survivors doing nothing but gens then there is a big problem.

Yes, they’re strategies, yes it’s not punished or can be called valid. But if it becomes the main go to strategy which is the direction it feels it’s heading then in terms of game health people will start leaving the game.

Imagine if the game mechanic was that you had to camp a survivor or tunnel, I can guarantee you nobody would play this game for long because with long matchmaking and a 25% chance of being the first hook you would spend 1 hour playing maybe 2-3 games being bored out your head.

Im not arguing whether it’s a valid strategy, but if 75%+ of the games were like this I wouldn’t play DBD cuz it would be boring. It’s about the health of the game.

The developers have the problem to try and address and fix and that means a change in the meta or mechanics of the game to give killers another way to win- although honestly really great killers don’t need to camp or tunnel right at the start of a game!

As this thread has become rather argumentative, I am going to close this up. I ask everyone to remember to remain civil and respectful of one another; this includes their point of view and their playstyles in the game. As already mentioned, tunneling, slugging, and camping are mechanics in the game.
