wow all 4 survivors use dead hard now

Imagine a world when NOED and second chance survivor perks doesn't exist. Is the perfect world.
DH is not Broken but It rewards survivors Who make mistakes while looping, Its a bit unfair but not Broken, you can easy bait DH, for me SprintBurst is worst.

Bruh just wait out the dead hard 4head
1 -
Even when I know survivors have DH, I forget to bait it out half the time, lol.
More often than not, a survivor uses it to get distance for a moment, but it rarely does anything but delay the inevitable down. Sometimes, they're kind enough to DH into a wall, which is always nice. Far less often, I see someone use DH to get to a pallet or a vault, and I just chalk that up to a good play on their part and good usage of the perk.
It's annoying to go against -- like UB, DS, SB, etc., but I'm guessing Ruin/Undying or Corrupt/Pop or Starstruck, or similar Killer perks are just as annoying for the people I'm facing to see. Strong perks are not a bad thing for the game. I play a ton of killer, and DH isn't anywhere near the headache the old abusable DS or OOO were. I've never been tilted by seeing it against me in a match -- only by my inability to remember someone has it when they've already showed it to me.

This has been the case for more than a year now.

Definitely could have been worded better, but I do agree that Dead Hard is too strong.
It should first be fixed, and then appropriately nerfed.
1 -
I guess you could say for them waiting is Dead Hard work
1 -
Yes it would. i frames are stupid.

A forum member who makes radical opinions I guess, even though that's subjective. What worries me is that anyone that people disagree with, they call them Sluzzy. So don't feed into that problem.

Twitch.
1 -
Well it's not
3 -
Oh ok

i mean.. when you getting close DO NOT SWING.. just ask yourself: "dead hard?".. then you can swing.. dead hard is useful in like 2 times out of 10 if you don't swing before you bait it
0 -
5 seconds is indeed to much but it is the right idea.
Make it like 2 seconds so you have to use it earlier and it wouldn't be as timeconsuming
The most annoying thing about dead hard right now is that you can use it at the last moment at any moment. All other distance gaining perks are either very situational or have to be used early.
With dead hard you have to go through the entire chase before getting denied by it. That's the problem and that's what makes it such a time waster.

Just went against a 4 man with sb. They just used it to run to the safe part of the map with no gens while using coms to organise gen progression every time.
0 -
Even with i frames, DH is still a challenging perk to use well. Nothing wrong with it.

Hello Sluzzy how you doin today
1 -
that doesn't work on good DH players
1 -
I like how they are nerfing and changing other perks but just ignoring the obvious perk that needs a change
0 -
You forgot to say that he then proceeded to have a mental breakdow, shouting "damn swf" and typing random stuff in chat - to 4x console players
4 -
you can swf with console players you can also swf with crossplay
1 -
i-
yeah
yeah, actually
2 -
as an experienced killer you already know how to deal with dead hard.
yes they might use it for distance yes they might use it for the hit dodge.. you already have enough knowledge to deal with it.
How ever for new players who are playing killer I find complaining about a perk ( that does not work most of the time ) kind of annoying.
watch streams and see how good killers deal with dead hard. It's really not an OP perk. I'd rather 4 dead hards than 4 sprint bursts because most people using dead hard will get denied anyways,, the perk is legit getting canceled mid animation.. Dedicated server was a huge nerf to dead hard anyways,
0 -
also I"ve seen crossplay players talk in chat. So how do you know they are 4x console players?
1 -
The globe. Microsoft store, Xbox, PS, and switch cannot type in chat to steam players.

VSing dead hard is honestly fun for me, hope when they rebuild it it works more often, it's no fun being downed when I use it 'correctly' as a survivor and it's no fun when someone goes down when you suspect they have it.
0 -
You'll still be ######### even if they nerf dead hard tbh
3 -
I've definitely gotten messages in chat from globe gamers, though.
1 -
Stadia Players I believe
0 -
I believe the Microsoft Store players can talk in chat, as a rule of thumb if as PC player you see a globe with spaces in their name, for example "Internet Police" they are Microsoft Store and they can talk, if they dont have any space and their name is a word followed by numbers or they use the _ or - dashes instead of spaces they are console and cant talk in chat, for example "Danny_4" or "Ripper-1990".
I may be completely wrong but as PC player the only globes that can talk in chat are ones with spaces in their names.
2 -
I mean, using perk isn't toxic or anything
but ngl ,,press E to outplay everytime" is kinda hilarious
0 -
As a wise man once said
"Get the ######### outta here"
4 -
I think some consoles (not ps4 tho) can have gaps in usernames. Steam, stadia and windows can all see/talk in pgc
0 -
Almost every game now all 4 survivors use dead hard.
this perk is clearly over performing.
3 -
How did you fare against deception? I'm hoping it involved a lot of opening lockers and ranting about swf
5 -
actually I assumed he had headon or something and stayed away from lockers lol
2 -
Dead Hard is a problem. It's a reward for failure given to survivors for no other reason than they were outplayed. If a dead hard was used, it's because the killer played better. The killer should be rewarded for playing better. Survivors need to learn to run tiles instead of needing their E key to bail them out. Period.

I mean...there aren't really any other perks that can fulfill the role of dead hard. Sure it sucks when they dash away but I mean, everyone's just going to switch to Lithe or Sprint Burst if it gets nerfed hard enough. It's like complaining about BT, what else can you bring? BabySitter? Why would I lose a protection hit for no blood trail or scratch Marks for half the time.

Everything is wrong with it. It's a free loop extension when used for distance, it favors PC players who use macros or have a superior connection (allowing some players to react perfectly to killer hits but leaves others exhausted on the ground), and it's a third health state. If all 4 survivors have it, there's almost no way you can win that match. And if it's so weak as people claim, why do a majority of high level players still run it?
1 -
I've been using DH for years now. DH has never been an easy to use perk.
Survivors become exhausted on the ground because the perk is flat out broken. The devs have confirmed this.
Your anger should be directed at map design, not DH. I fully admit that playing against DH on a map full of strong loops is painful. But not every map is like that.
0 -
Bro wth is wrong with Dead Hard. I run it every game its not OP
0 -
Even at a mindgameable pallet where you're going down anyway, DH extends your life by a good 5-10 seconds. There is no loop in the game where it straight up does nothing for you. Strong loops might even be manageable, but not when combined with perks like these.
0 -
Maybe if every killer didn’t tunnel and camp we wouldn’t need to run 4 second chance perks
0 -
Now I know to run Dead Hard lol
0 -
If it's problem you can adjust your build around exhaustion. Run Blood Echo if you often keep survivors injured. Or run Mindbreaker to pause their exhaustion timers while they repairing a gen.
This perks not considered as op because it's situational and killers don't have much problems with exhaustion perks to waste a perk slot on it, but it can probably help you. If you have problem with Dead Hards so often, it probably worth a try.
0 -
I mean, you can't really blame someone for using Dead Hard. It the best exhaustion perk, at least in my opinion.
Oh. When does DH get nerfed? Probably after they've nerfed that extremely unfair, unbalanced, Broken perk called Monstrous Shrine. Oh gosh that perk is so... yea xd
0 -
Dead Hard is used for more than just killers tunneling and camping.
4 -
i started running it as survivor after realizing how strong it is while playing killer. it's not something that works immediately, you have to adapt and try to anticipate to get the most out of it. I wasn't using exhaustion perks before besides SB sometimes. I'm not a good looper and still have to learn how to squeeze the most out of it, but if you manage to use it to get yourself into a good position, it's very powerful.
1 -
when are u gonna stop asking for unnecessary nerfs and just freaking adapt? if ur expecting an easy win every game maybe u should just go play the sims or something
3 -
I highly doubt even with dead hard being nerfed you would be able to beat a good team and then post another thread asking about more nerfs to make up for the lack of skill you have.
