wow all 4 survivors use dead hard now
almost every single game all 4 survivors are using dead hard.
This is just ridiculous when is this perk getting nerfed.

I don't really like Dead Hard either, but you really can't stop people from using perks.
Imo, Dead Hard should either be able to be used for distance or to dodge a hit, not both. I would prefer the latter, as it is a more skillful interaction.
Unfortunately, due to Dedicated Servers, Dead Hard can't be used to dodge hits reliably. Until BHVR fixes Dead Hard so that you can dodge a hit, I find it unlikely that it will be changed.

It really isn't.
It's annoying and can be frustrating to face at times. But you aren't going to lose a game because survivors have dead hard.

Dont wanna be that guy, but I can count plenty of times where I've lost momentum (which has often lost me the game) due to a DH.
Is it a problem? Yes, but not providing anything constructive isnt really gone help your point.

You didn't lose to dead hard. There's a ton of survivors out there who don't use dead hard very effectively.
You only start to feel the pain of dead hard when you go against strong survivors who can waste a ton of your time in chase. In which case those survivors often don't need Dead Hard in the first place. It's just easier to blame Dead Hard, because you can see the survivor dead hard away and feel cheated out of a down.

Ill be a little fair to him (even though he doesnt deserve it) in the past week i think ive had 2 or more deadhards every game. I find myself respecting a survivor injured a lot because of it. And in other cases when a survivors going to a loop they shouldnt make im like "here it comes". Its so annoying. Even moreso when i block off a loop as trapper just for a survivor to deadhard OVER the trap and im the one dumb i guess. (Im agreeing to his point dead hard needs a fix nothing else)

I know some people suggested dead hard make it so you cant throw pallets or vault windows for like 5 seconds after its active. Then people have to use it only to block a hit not for distance. Also just please remove it going through beartraps. Trapper sad.

That would absolutely kill the perk. I know the perk can be frustrating to play against, but 5 seconds is a long time given the short dash. The killer will down you in the next 5 seconds.

Isnt the perks point to avoid a hit? Not extend like 40 seconds to a chase? I forget dead hards intention at this point.

yeah theres this one VOD of him playing myers on the game and he vows to slug ash to death for being in a toxic swf (then fails to do that), tries mindgaming a safe pallet because Gideon before missing a swing and blaming autoaim and dead hard despite lithe having been used earlier in the game

Just because the perk is meant to dodge a hit, doesn't mean that you can't dodge a hit and then use the small distance gained to reach nearby safety. The perk has always had a small dash attached to for it.
Using Dead Hard out in the open has very little point as if you aren't nearby anything to use, you'll go down shortly later. You basically want to turn Dead Hard into a perk that turns everything into an open field for 5 seconds allowing the killer to down you regardless.
With this change, why would anyone run Dead Hard over another exhaustion perk like Lithe, Smash Hit, or Balanced Landing?

It's actually a perk that combined them called "lithe hard"
Only swf are allowed to use it

That isn't entirely true.
Even a bad Survivor, like me, can use Dead Hard effectively to make a pallet. If it's a close game, and a Survivor who would've been an easy down makes it to a loop because of Dead Hard, that can easily cost you the game and it would be entirely on Dead Hard.
Now, I don't think that's necessarily an issue, but it is an issue that Dead Hard can be used to either dodge a hit OR to get distance. It should be one or the other, not both.

At this point, I think the goal is to make the perk completely useless.
Otherwise I cannot explain how someone can think that giving a 5 second restriction of vaulting windows or dropping Pallets can be anything else than destroying the Perk.

You run the L-T walls around the outside despite this being the least effective way to play these tiles, as it allows the survivor a guaranteed window. You attempt no mindgames.

Yeah. Fair. Feels like it could still be adjusted in some way that pressing E won't result in a 40 second addition to chase. Which would really suck if all 4 survivors used it.

Dead Hard is FINE as it is now. And full disclosure, I don't run it as a Survivor and fight against it all the time. Suck it up and learn to play around it.

Make SB activatable and see how many people use DH then :D Also, SB gives you more speed to dodge the first hit and get distance like DH does. The only difference is, you have to take a hit first to activate it and its not always reliable.
