Serious Topic | What's Happening With Solo Queue?

Introduction

A while back, we were told from the developers that the solo queue experience would be getting improved by bringing solo queue closer to SWF, then compensating killers accordingly.

I appreciate the obsession mechanic being basekit, giving solo queue more information and always making the killer take a risk on DS. This was a great change on the developers part. However, I can't help but notice we haven't gotten much love in the past years.

Q: What's Happening With Solo Queue?

Personally, I want the developers to make risky moves towards improving the solo queue experience. At least I can see that they are trying things out, even if it doesn't make it out of the PTB. However, with how little I have seen, I'm afraid us solo queue players are left to suffer in the background (which is why I prefer to play killer).

I understand that we can't make inexperienced survivors better, that's not why I and many others want solo queue buffs. We want solo queue buffs because it makes the game more dynamic, it completely removes the RNG factor that we all come to hate in solo queue.

What do I mean exactly? There have been countless situations where I'd repair a generator thinking someone would rescue the hooked survivor, until they hit the next phase. Then there's time where I make my way to rescue someone, just to see someone else do it for me, making the whole trip a huge waste of time.

It's not by any means unplayable nor fun, but it can definitely get into your skin at times. Which is why I opt to take killer breaks or go play a different game. It just bothers me that I have to use solo queue perks just to have a fair game, whereas SWF can just tell each other what's going on and avoid wasting perks on getting basic information. The experienced players reading this know exactly what I'm talking about (looking at you Kindred and Small Game's new totem counter that should've been basekit).

My apologies if I sound like I'm sounding rather tense, it's just something that has been bothering me for a while.
