NOED simple nerf idea

NOED should generate a lit totem at the beginning of the match but it only gets its effect when the last generator pops, this way it wouldn't be so OP since you wouldn't need to get rid of 5 totems to prevent 1 hex, but it would still be a pretty strong perk.

I have a better rework: Each hook you get you gain a token up to a maximum of 4/5/6 tokens After all the generators have been done and you down a survivor you lose a token BTW it spawns as a hex at the start just like any other hex perk

NOED is bad enough as it is. I would buff this perk to make survivors willing to clense totems, and games would last a bit longer. Both sides would benefit from this.

Okay here's a buff/nerf to make it less punishing for solos who do their side objective while making it more punishing for survivors who don't

    - any survivor that cleanses two or more totems before the last gen is finished is unaffected by noed

    - the exposed effect from noed lasts for 30 seconds after the hex totem is destroyed, plus another 30 seconds for any other totem remaining when the last gen is done

What exactly is difficult about cleansing totems? You have Small Game, which keeps track of how many have been cleansed and helps you find them. You have maps, which help you find them. You have Detective's Hunch, which helps you find them.

Endgame Hex Perks is a bad idea, NOED would never be activated.

Ah yes, Let me run around the map doing NOTHING but cleansing totems, And sacrifice perk slots then get yelled at by my teammates, For a maybe NOED

That would make the perk completely useless. I’m not a particular fan of NOED but you might as well just delete it altogether at that point.

Yes but let me give you a regular match in solo q: 1 teammate is hiding the other is healing and the 3rd one is down or hooked or being chased while YOU run around cleansing totems this is clearly Not helping the team since you're not doing gens and you guys aren't getting to the endgame if this is happening lol

But if a SWF is complaining yeah they're entitled

I'm going to play armchair psychologist here for a second.

You know, like any human being, that you can't do one thing the entire trial regardless of the situation.

You know, like any human being, that different situations call for different strategies. For example, you wouldn't keep working on a gen while everyone is slugged; you'd get off that gen and do something else.

You know these things, but you'd rather pretend that I - or anyone - is telling you to work solely on totems throughout the entire trial, every trial, and ignore everything else that's going on. Now, I know you're smart enough to understand that if you're in that situation, then cleansing totems is a bad idea.

Rather than simply acknowledge/recognize you'd do something else in that situation, like anyone else would, you imply that you'd still be cleansing totems (as if that had been my advice) instead of doing something else that you and I both know is better for the overall game state.

Why do you suppose you have to present that incredibly specific scenario (which, BTW, is not how solo games start, it's a development of the game and can happen to anyone, solo or not) and then pretend that I'm telling you to keep cleansing totems regardless of the situation?

I agree a lot of stuff can make you get off gens, But cleansing totems would take a while tbh Plus it's a gamble whether if the killer has NOED or not

Discounting travel time, it takes less time to cleanse all totems (5*14 = 70 seconds) than it does to fully repair one generator (80 seconds).

And yes, it's a gamble if the killer has NOED or not. It's also a gamble if the killer has BBQ, A Nurse's Calling, Haunted Ground, Monitor & Abuse, and virtually every other perk, because you can't know the killer's loadout.

What you can do, and is what I do sometimes (when I remember), is figure out which perks they have during the trial. If they only seem to have 2-3 perks, chances are, they have NOED.

The only change to NOED I really want is give the survivors the exposed effect IMMEDIATELY after doing all gens, just like Rancor does. Which will give the survivors at least TIME to react to it...

Ah yes; another 'I'm too lazy to do bones but I don't want to suffer from NoED' post.

there would be no point in running noed. Just leave the perk alone and do bones.

honestly i dont see the issue except for the camping killer getting more kills but do you know how rare it is to have teammates doing totems like ive had games do all 4 dulls my team only doing gens and guess what that last totem is noed honestly thats the fault of my teammates it triggered

edit: If killers could see survivors have DS, I agree.
