Possible Perk Reworks

I understand that all perks can't be great, or that some perks are would be as good as they currently are if a lot of perks got buffed but take a few into consideration. It's going to be quite a long post and i'm doing 6 on survivor and killer. My personal favourite improvements are perk #5 for survivor and perk #3 for killer. one final thing, anything in bold italics is extra info that isn't part of the description but good to know.

Survivor Perks:

Perk 1: Sole Survivor - I get that this is meant to be somewhat in line with the lore and the fact that everyone around Laurie died, but DS and OoO got nerfed and Laurie is now among the meh survivors instead of great. Sole Survivor should be buffed as now DS and Object are fair, but Sole Survivor is stupidly bad.

As more of your friends fall to the Killer, you become shrouded in isolation and adapt. Each time a Survivor other than yourself is killed or sacrificed, Sole Survivor gains 1 Token, up to a maximum of 3 Tokens:

  • Each Token grants a stack-able radius of 16/18/20 metres within which the Killer is unable to read your Aura  up to a maximum of 48/54/60 metres.
  • Each Token grants a stack-able bonus to Haste up to a maximum of 1/2/3%
  • Each Token grants reduced grunts of pain up to 20/30/40%

Perk 2: Mettle Of Man - Tiny Change, not going to write a whole description for this, remove the healing aura, and reduce protection hits by 1

Perk 3: Left Behind - You can't tell me this is a good perk. Small buff but it would still be nice.

You will get the job done... no matter the cost.

For Each Survivor no longer in the trial, you get 4 metres to all aura reading abilities (this includes items and perks and stacks with addons)

When you are the last Survivor remaining in the Trial, the Aura of the Hatch is revealed to you when you are within 12/16/20 metres.(the reduction makes it same as before but the 4 metres buff to all aura reading abilities)

Perk 4: Wake Up! - again a small buff but still an improvement.

Unlocks potential in your Aura-reading ability.

Once all Generators are completed, Wake Up! activates:

  • The Auras of the Exit gate switches are revealed to you within 128 metres.
  • When opening an Exit Gate, your Aura is revealed to all other Survivors within 128 metres.
  • You open Exit Gates 10/15/20% faster.
  • Recover you and anybody within 8 metres of you from any Status effect 10% faster.

Perk 5: Boil Over - Garbage perk, don't remember a single time in my experience that this perk has saved me or anyone in my game and this new concept would make it much more interesting.

You are a battler and do everything to escape a foe's grasp.

While being carried by the Killer:

  • You cause the Killer to strafe sideways, by 30/40/50% more.
  • You obscure the Killer's ability to read the Auras of all Hooks within 6/8/10 metres of your location.
  • You automatically wiggle - However you hit a skill check for every second you are being carried up to a 1/2/3% wiggle out progress per skill check hit.

Perk 6: Buckle Up - Again simple, remove the aura and it is improved as currently it is makes it worse for you and your teammate when you pick them up.

Killer Perks:

Perk 1: Whispers - This is an interesting one but I really like it and I feel like it would be very helpful info

You have a rudimentary understanding of The Entity's voice.

When within 48 metres of a survivor you begin to hear the whispers of the entity. The closer you get the more sporadic they get up to 24 metres.

Perk 2: Monstrous Shrine - currently one of the worst perks as it only works in basement and only half viable for insidious bubbas which is not what we want to be promoting.

Your fervent care of the Hooks has aroused The Entity's interest.

Hooking possesses the following benefits:

  • Hook Progression is accelerated by 6/8/10%.
  • Self-Unhook difficulty is increased by 5/10/15%.
  • Self-Unhook penalty is increased by 6/8/10%.

Perk 3: Mindbreaker - this would make it a really decent perk, especially for stealth.

Your distressing presence drains and weakens your prey.

Whenever a Survivor is repairing a Generator, they suffer from multiple Status effects.

  • While a survivor is on a Generator they suffer from the exposed, exhausted, and hindered status effect
  • If the Survivor is already under the influence of an effect, their Status Effect's timer will be paused.
  • All status effects (except exposed) linger for 3/4/5 seconds after stopping to repair.

Perk 4: Coulrophobia - not necessarily a bad perk but still.

Your presence alone instils great fear.

  • The Healing speed of Survivors within your Terror radius is reduced by 30/40/50%.
  • While in a chase, survivors are more focused on survival over anything. any survivor in chase suffers from the Blindness status effect. (stopping perks like bond from working)

Perk 5: Hex: The Third Seal

A Hex that hinders the Survivors' Aura-reading abilities.

The last 2/3/4 Survivors hit with your Basic Attack suffer from the Blindness Status Effect.

While In a chase with someone who has the blindness status effect, immediately get bloodlust tier 1

The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex totem is standing.

Perk 6: Furtive Chase

You become obsessed with one Survivor.

You lurk in the shadows, eliminating your victims one by one.

Each time you hook your Obsession, you gain 1 Token, up to a maximum of 2/3/4 Tokens:

  • While in a Chase, your Terror Radius is reduced by 6 metres per accumulated Token.
  • While in a Chase, any survivor aura reading abilities on the killer or the survivor being chased do not activate (e.g. empathy, alert etc)
  • When a Survivor rescues the Obsession from the Hook, that Survivor will become the new Obsession.
  • All accumulated Tokens are lost when Obsession is sacrificed or killed.

You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
