"hehe I'm gonna throw a lot of knives really fast but I have slower movement speed and oh no the survivor is just behind cover and now I don't have the time/ movement speed to do anything about it". Boring.
Just have The Trickster float like 2 meters off the ground while keeping his normal movement speed so he can hit survivors behind walls easier (and quickly descend near doorways to allow for mobility) and have knives home in *slightly*. Add spotlights for added effect.

I'd rather have Main Event give bouncy blades for the full duration, and remove the control screw. Just on-demand bouncy blades.
