I suicide on hook when i face stridor spirit...
I used to defend spirit so much,my favourite killer, but ######### this.
This is totally unfun to play against. And it is common.
/next
EDIT: To clarify....i never give up with any killer, normal spirit i find extremely fun to face(spine chill+ IW lover)
With stridor spirit is a diferent story,if she has more than 60 IQ and she has more than 4-5 hooks with 4-5 gens up then yes i suicide.I won't even bother for hatch play.
If she is good there is literally no counter,a god nurse will make mistakes eventually cause we are humans after all not AI.

Well, you shouldn't screw your teammates because of who the killer is / which build they are using.
I absolutely despise Ghostface, but I never DC or suicide on hook when I face him.

Cool story

Really, you suicide on a hook over a killer. Come on yes they are unfun to face, and terrible but you shouldn't screw your teammates like that
20 -
There is a counter to GF,it's called spine chill. And it is an amazing perk overall.
3 -
I'm sure they'll nerf her at some point before the next ice age
6 -
Glad u liked.

Yeah its definitely unfun and frustrating to go against, but maybe stay in the match to not screw over your teammates
Struggle through that match and itll only be 10 minutes until youre in another match.

The thing is, it doesn't matter, I simply hate him. I despise this killer since his PTB, and back then he was literally the weakest killer in the game, mind you.

Usually(19/20 times) what happens is the killer has more than 60 IQ and everyone drops like flies with 5 gens up.
1 -
I suppose if everyone did it eventually people would stop playing it.
1 -
I wouldn't feel bad for teammates in this case when suiciding, chances are very high they'll want to move on quick to the next round as well as playing against Stridor Spirit is extremely pointless.
9 -
Don't care, didn't ask
7 -
It's funny that almost everyone that complains about Spirit used to "love", "main" her.
6 -
It's always nice to see other ghostface haters
1 -
I just have fun and win the match. You'll never get there if you just suicide every time and learn nothing.

Just one of them things ya gotta deal with, me as a killer main i hate seeing people that run ProveThyself and also people who run map offerings like Haddonfield and Ormand but im not gonna Dc and ruin everyone elses game, I think the only time ill Dc is when im playing like mirror myers and somehow not get my offered lerys or hawkins map because i rarley get those maps in my bloodwebs anymore but other than that at least try to give it your best till the end and trying to waste as much time as possible to help ur team to at least have some fighting chance, but ill agree a stridor spirit can be annoying just like keys, offerings etc

It sure is! Damn annoying killer.

I've said it before, if you hook suicide or DC b/c you're facing a killer you don't like, you need to uninstall the game. All you're doing is screwing over your teammates. We all have a killer or 3 that we hate to go against. But when our team just ditches we don't have a chance figure out better counter play. Uninstall if you're too afraid to play.

Ah, so you ragequit if the Killer plays someone you don't like. So...what? The Killer should PM you ahead of time & ask if their Killer & perk combo are approved?
Post edited by EQWashu on6 -
So you're ragequitting the trial because you don't like the killer even though there's a pretty good chance you could win due to skill disparity and gen speeds? And you think that's the proper way to go about things?

Soft
2 -
How do you know the killer's perk loadout?
2 -
Excellent question.

I'm a rank 3 killer and I'll run Stridor Spirit. It's not an auto 4k every match, and I'm not a terrible killer. It's harder if you're solo queueing, but not impossible. I still have my hands full with high ranked survivors. It's really a matter of skill I think.
1 -
Why ruin the game for 3 other people because of what someone is playing? Would you throw the match in another team game if you don't like how someone is playing?

So you give the killer a free win because you don't like what they chose to play.

Ok

You can hear that the killer has stridor and if you have iron will its even easier to notice. But if you always suicide, you never see when you are wrong anyway.
5 -
Its true that there are some killer which dont like dcs bc it makes the match boring. But there are also many who dont care and some like it when survivor dc.
0 -
But then you can use iron will against spirit. If you use iron will against stridor, they cancel each other out and apparently you dont have a problem with normal spirit. Or you use no mither and iron will and trade a health state for being silent.
So perk counter are not really are argument.
1 -
Good point. It's been so long since I faced a killer with Stridor that I forgot. Thanks.

Stridor has a stronger effect than Iron Will, they don’t cancel each other out. You’re quieter than you would be without IW but still clearly audible, so it’s no counter to Stridor Spirit.
And No Mither is a horrible idea against a killer with an incredibly strong chase power.
2 -
Oh you are one of those.
Because nothing sucks more, when 3 gens get completed by the first hook and that person instantly suicides.

As Spirit with Stridor main I want to tell you..
Don't retire please :(
3 -
So kind of you to ruin the match for 4 others and coming on to the forums to announce how petty you are. A+
9 -
It sucks but I can't blame you.
1 -
Screw over your teammates and increase Spirit stats to get her nerfed.
A try and true tactic of survivors.
1 -
A lot of people do the same, spirits bad enough on her own but with strider it's pretty much GG unless you're in a SWF and you split up and just rush gens as fast as you can.

Worked for Freddy and Nurse.
2 -
Where did you get this info? Iron will should have a stronger effect and it sounds similar quit for me.
0 -
I meant if the entire team did it. Over, and over again. Sure, some killers would be happy. The majority would get bored fast though.

Please keep your comments civil and respectful towards one another and their posts; you can disagree about the subject without going after one another.
And a small reminder, the endorsement of Unsportsmanlike Behavior (DCing) is not permitted on the forums.

Impossible, Suiciding on Hook was disabled.

You people obviously don't play Survivor, if you don't even know how to scout killer perks.
Stridor is one of the easiest perks to scout, especially if you have Iron Will, but even without Iron Will it's easy to distinguish.

Its now 20-30 sec instead of 5-10 sec. But yh luckily your teammates can now stop you.

Yh i think it would be similar to old iridescent huntress.

Instead of banning people for showing how annoying and unfun some things are, what if you would do something about the issue that causes that behaviour?
Both sides have to face boring and unfun behaviour. This behaviour has been the exact same for years, but you never adress it. Camping and tunneling still are issues, gen speeds are still an issue, meta not shifting is still an issue, keys are still an issue. Should I go on?
5 -
Tunneling Twins are the only one I suicide on hook against.

Why is DCing considered Unsportsmanlike Behavior, but suicide on hook is not?

- EQWashu is a mod, not a developer.
- 'Unfun' is not a metric to balance ANYTHING. Losing is 'unfun'. If we balanced by things being 'unfun', then anything that causes someone to lose would have to be balanced or removed. Just because people don't like a perk, does not mean that perk needs fixing, removal, or nerfs.
It's called being an adult and accepting that the opponent will use perks or Killers you don't like, because they don't need your permission or input on what they use/how they play. They don't need to PM you ahead of time and ask 'Do you mind if I use Stridor? No? Oh drat! Allow me to rework my entire build before the match starts!'
