Lightborn rework idea

I am a bit confused as to why perks are being created and sold that can be used against the buyer with the simple equip of a perk. I do believe the design space of the current perks upcoming with the resident evil chapter is completely axed by the existence of lightborn. Here is my simple idea on a lightborn rework.

When killer is blinded movement speed is increased by 20% 5 seconds and noises caused by survivor are increased by 50% for 5 seconds. Killer is immune to blinds for 5 seconds after initial blind.

This gives killer a opportunity to do something skilled while blind but also gives survivors opportunity to use the blind mechanics being created in dbd.

Some perks counter other perks, that's how it has always been.

Yeah I’m a survivor main and think it’s fine as is. Look at it this way- it may make your flashlight useless for that match, but the killer could have brought a much better perk in that slot instead. Besides, Lightborn isn’t as popular any more. Killers usually “slap” it on if they see too many flashlights in the lobby.

Lightborn should protect Wraith against burns. It's ridiculous how I have to pick lightborn as Wraith whenever I see a flashlight lobby only to be constantly stunned with them without any room to breathe in spite of that perk. I had to quit playing Wraith altogether on ranks 10+ because of this.

What's the point of the blind immunity if it's just for 5 seconds? No survivor is gonna try to blind a killer twice in a row since now they have a chance to run instead

This I also agree. In fact, Wraith's lightburn should really just be given to Spirit

I like the concept of this perk and I think it should be given to a newly made perk, but Lightborn is fine as is.

Lightborn is perfect as it is, it's the only perk that completely counters an item entirely.

Lightborn is fine as it is and doesn't need further changing and frankly this idea isn't very good either. For 1 changing that many stats so quickly and for such a short duration almost certainly lead to development issues and more then likely a buggy ass perk, 2nd the blind immunity after being blinded is almost completely pointless if you get hit by blind you've most likely already lost something as the killer having blind immunity isnt really gonna net you much, not to mention you can just LOOK UP TO NOT GET BLINDED.

Also I have another issue with the whole point of this post in that you think that a perk you bought cant be countered by a perk that's been in the game for years, with that kind of design philosophy is how you get legit pay to win dlc's that become must buys to be relevant against the other similarly strong perks. I'd say that BHVR has actually done an alright job of keeping the free to play perks pretty relevant and very worth using, perks like dead hard, sprint burst, iron will, and unbreakable are all very good perks.

Moral of the story we don't want bhvr to design perks around making a dlc more worth buying, that would be a disaster.
